I pulled on some clothes. I was going on a mission for some information with Blue Squadron. Tallie was leading the mission and had been busy planning everything for the past couple of days. She was on top of it though and by the time we were ready to take off, everything was in order. Our bags were packed and everything was ready to go.

BB-40 would be coming with me and she was ecstatic. She was rolling around my feet quickly, squealing loudly. I laughed at her antics as I headed for the bays. I got there before anyone else on the mission. I got everything ready as I waited, the nerves finally getting to me. I had been on hundreds of calls yet that one felt different. I couldn't shake that something was going to happen.

As I was finishing up with my x-wing, people were starting to show up for the mission. Tallie called in the group and started to brief us about what was going to happen. All of Blue Squadron was there with grim expressions. They knew what had to be done. We all did. After the briefing, we went to our x-wings. I was getting ready to get in when Poe came up to me.

"Hey," I said. "Came to say goodbye?"

Poe shrugged. "It's not goodbye. It's until next time. Be safe, okay, Sykon?"

I nodded, eyeing him. "I will. I always am."

Poe lifted his hand briefly before dropping it. "I just thought I'd see you before you left. You'll be gone for a few days and I don't want the last time we saw each other to be the last, you know?"

I eyed him, nodding. "Yeah, I get it." I held out my fist. "Until next time?"

Poe smirked, bumping my fist with his. "Until next time."

I climbed into my x-wing and started settling down. It was going to be a long ride. BB-40 was already in her spot, staying quiet for the first time in a while. I couldn't wear a helmet because of my montrals and lekku but I did wear goggles to protect my eyes. As I slipped on the goggles, I looked down to see that Poe was looking up at me. He smiled a little and lifted a hand to say goodbye. I waved back as I started to lift off.

Blue Squadron was in the air and leaving the atmosphere within a few minutes. We all fell into formation behind Tallie, a bit of chatter picking up on the comms. There was an attempt to relieve the stress that had already begun to build up. We drove for hours, the conversation ebbing and flowing as boredom set in.

When we arrived, I was assigned to follow Tallie and Stomeroni. The others were given tasks as the three of us split off from the rest of the group. We set our ships down in a docking bay and met up together. The three of us stuck together as we weaved our way through the crowded streets. Pulling my hood over my head, I kept an eye on the people around us.

We pushed our way through the crowds, heading toward our destination. We had an informant that had a few chips of information for General Leia. We had to keep it on the down-low, however. The city was filled with First Order loyalists and even the occasional troop of stormtroopers were seen on patrols. Luckily we blended in pretty well. Anything Resistance had been removed and we were in usual street clothes. In my opinion, it was a good disguise for a trio of rebels.

We got to the meeting point - an abandoned alleyway with not a soul in sight. I was assigned to stand guard at the entrance of the alley as Stomeroni and Tallie ventured into the darkened alley. I kept my hood up to hide my face as I kept a watchful eye on the people around me. I was sure that the First Order had my picture somewhere in their database and it wouldn't take long to find out who I was. It was pretty unforgettable.

There were a few bangs behind me. I resisted the urge to whip around to see what was happening. Instead, I used the force to see what was going down. Tallie had an older man pinned up against a wall with a knife to his neck. Stomeroni stood behind her with an intimidating look on his face, his arms crossed.
