Thomas lifted his head and realized what he really, truly had just done. He had just trapped himself in the maze. He had just basically forced himself into a horrible, unknown death. Him and whoever he dragged in with him. The newest addition to the glade didn't even know who the person was that grabbed his hand and when Thomas pulled the person in, rather than just letting go, he didn't even think about the profuse amount of things that could happen or even who he brought with him, specifically, who he didn't want brought with him. Meaning Linnea.

"Good job," Minho breathed out, panting as his dark eyes looked into Thomas's light ones. The boy gave him a look of confusion, but Minho quickly showed what he was saying, using his normal sassy manner. "You just killed yourself."

"What?" Thomas breathed out. He went in there to save him, but he knew that his decision was wrong the moment those doors shut behind him. The moment he was trapped there.

A loud, large groan sounded from behind them. Thomas would be able to recognize that voice anywhere. It was Linnea. Minho's feeble eyes dilated as he weakly got up and rushed towards the girl, her body spread across the dirty stone floor that she ran on almost every day. "And you brought Linnea with you?! Maybe you deserve to die!"

Minho carefully picked the small girl up, but when her head was lifted, she refused to look Thomas in the eyes. When she had grabbed his hand, it was so that he wouldn't go in, but with his strong body, not even looking back to see who it was, Thomas pulled her in with him. It angered her. She was mad because this would be the second time she was trapped in the maze, and this time, there was no magical serum to help her, no way that she could possibly stay safe, and worst of all, she was in there with the two people that mattered the most to her. In the whole entire world. Tommy and Minho.

Brushing past Thomas, Linnea approached up to Alby, unconscious with a bash on his head, laying on the cold stone floor, as Minho collapsed on the ground next to her. Shakily, the girl's voice spoke out, "What the hell happened to him?"

"What does it look like?" Minho exclaimed as Thomas walked up and knelt down next to Linnea, her still not looking at him, the anger boiling in her soul. "He got stung."

"What happened to his head?" Thomas asked, looking at the dark, bloodied bash that was placed in the middle of his forehead.

Linnea knew what had to have happened, though. Looking over at Minho, she answered for the boy, "He did what he had to do."

The screeching sound of a Griever near them sent a shiver down Linnea's back, reminding her of the time, three years before, that she was stuck in that very maze, but she survived, but surely, this time, she wouldn't survive. Alerting herself out of her thoughts, Linnea started grabbing onto Alby, trying to pull him up. "Alright," she said, as Thomas started helping her as well. "Minho, help us get him up."

"We gotta go," Minho stood up, walking away with a bit of a limp, resembling the one Newt had gotten when he jumped. "The maze is already changing."

"Hey, Minho," Thomas called after the boy. The Asian boy slightly stopped, listening to the echo of the Griever that sounded throughout the maze. "She's right. We can't just leave him here."

Minho turned around, looking at Thomas, his protective expression showing how much he cared about Linnea, and how much that he wanted this less for himself, and more for her. All Thomas cared about was her. The boy wanted to make this up for her. He dragged her back in there and Thomas knew that he would never forgive himself for doing it; but he did it and he was going to make up for it.

Minho sighed and walked over, slinging Alby over him and Thomas's shoulders, Linnea helping support them from the back, but when he was lifted, Linnea muttered, not to either of them, just more so to herself, "I can't believe this is happening again."

"Again?" Thomas asked her, his voice laced with concern. "Nea, what do you mean 'again'?" He stopped him and Minho's walk, but Linnea pushed them forward, keeping them moving knowing that when you're stuck in the maze, time could not be wasted.

"I, uh-" She breathed out. She had to tell them. There was no keeping this from them now. They were sure to die that night anyway. Absolutely no reason to keep it a secret anymore. "I've spent the night in the maze before."

"What?!?!?!" Both Minho and Thomas exclaimed, concern filling up in their voices. So far, both of them seemed to know pretty much anything there is to know about the girl, Thomas knew even more than Minho because of the secret of her mother, but none of them expected her to keep this big of a secret from either of them. It was just too big, and yet she did.

"Yeah," she sighed, looking up as Thomas looked back, his weak eyes expressing his perturb very clearly, the first time she had looked him clear in the eye since they had gotten in the maze. She couldn't really not look at them. It was just too hard for her. Although she was angry at him, it would be so hard for her to stay mad for that long, and even then, she probably shouldn't be mad at him during what could possibly be her last moments. "On my first night in the glade, after I had come up in the box, I went in here right before the doors closed, and I was stuck in here for the night."

"And you survived?" Minho asked, him almost stopping the two of them holding their unconscious leader.

Linnea sighed, not knowing exactly how she was going to be able to explain it. "I shouldn't have. I was. . . " She looked right at Thomas, staring into his whiskey brown eyes. "I was stung; but when I came up, I had this syringe with some kind of blue liquid in it. When I was stung, just as I started to realize that I was going crazy, I stuck it in me and inserted the liquid in, and slowly, I started healing. It somehow saved me, and that was when I realized that I couldn't go in there at night, if I was even going to be let out again, and I was, so then, I guess. . . you guys pretty much know everything after that."

"Wow," Thomas breathed out. "I can't believe you did that."

"Yeah," Linnea looked up at him, her eyes shining even with the darkness approaching them, her eyes still stood out among all others, shining, almost as if giving a light in the darkness, and to Thomas, she was his light in his darkness. "I can't believe it either."

The echoing sound of the Grievers approached them once again, and as they pulled up to a thickly covered ivy wall, the two boys set him down, and Linnea looked up at the tall wall of ivy.

"I think I have an idea."
