Valentine's Day.

John's POV

It's Valentine's Day and I want to plan someone thing special for Katy and I. But I don't want it to be basic and traditional, I want it to be unique and something no one has done before, but that's probably not possible. Over the past 10 years, I've fallen completely in love with her. The way she looks at me, and the way I look at her all seems to make sense now. Every time I look at her, it seems like I've fallen in love with her all over again. It never gets old.

________

I glanced over at Katy, who was making herself coffee at the counter. Her jet black hair was messy, and she was wearing my old t-shirt with bare feet. She looked so cute.

"You look gorgeous." I spoke, breaking the silence. It made me think even more about what I'm going to do. I want it to be something she'll never forget.

She stared at me, giving me the 'seriously' look, while taking the first sip of her coffee.

She gulped, and stood next to me. "You're joking." Her raspy, and croaky morning voice made my heart melt. It's something I've always loved about her.

I laughed, while opening to the first page of the newspaper. "Nah. I meant it." I then ran a hand through my hair, while fixing my glasses.

"Thanks. I guess." She giggled, and pursed her lips.

I made breakfast, which were heart shaped pancakes. I know it's kind of cheesy, but it's something that Katy and I have always done.

The silence continued, until I broke it again. "I got you something."

"Really?" She asked, curiously. We were never really big on Valentine's Day.

"Yeah. Here. It's nothing big." I replied shyly, and handed her the present.

She put her mug full of coffee down, and untied the ribbon. I could tell she was very cautious of things like this.

I anxiously waited for her to open it, so I glared out the window. Fresh snow covered the trees and ground. It gave me an idea. Maybe not the greatest, but it was something.

"Oh my god." Katy gasped. "John."

I smiled at her. She had the ring already around her ring finger, smiling down at it and glaring at me with a romantic stare.

"Did you read the inside of it?"

She shook her head and furrowed her eyebrows, while sliding the ring off her finger. "I Promise. ~J" She read, and bit her lip.

"Yeah.." I said, while gulping down my first sip of coffee.

"John you didn't have to do this, but thank you so much." Her voice cracked at the end, while tears started to form in her eyes.

"Don't cry, Hun."

She quickly jumped from her seat and ran towards me, so I quickly stood up and received her hug. I was a bit taken back but I knew she was happy, and if she's happy, I'm happy. "I love you so much. Please know that." She whispered into my ear. I felt her warm breath on my neck, and I picked her up, carrying her bridal style into our bedroom.

"You're not actually going to do this? Are you?" Katy smiled, letting out a small laugh.

"You bet I am."

She shrugged when our lips collided, and I pushed Katy onto the bed. She kissed my lips again, while sliding her tongue into my mouth. She tugged on my shirt, and moaning, struggling to get it off.

I pulled my shirt off and began to suck on her neck. She let out a small moan while grinding her hips on mine. I pulled her shirt over her head and threw it on the floor, leaving both of us in just our underwear. I stopped for a moment and stared at Katy, who was looking up at me with those big blue eyes. "I love you." She whispered, and pulled me into another kiss. Her nails dug into me back, as I pulled her bra off and flung it across the room. She bit her lip and wrapped her legs around my waist. I trailed kisses down her body, starting at her neck, then down to her chest, and to her stomach. I trailed the kisses back up, then met her lips once again. She breathed harder into each kiss, and arched her back. She then pinned me down onto the bed. She bit her lip pulled on my hair. I guess you could say we had a good afternoon ;)

________

We were both sleeping, until I woke up. It was about 5, and Katy was still laying there peacefully, so I decided to take advantage of this time and plan out what I'm going to do later. I already have all of the things planned, I just need to set it up.

I slowly made my way out of the bed, and slipped into my boxers and pajama pants, with no shirt on, but I'm sure Katy wouldn't mind.

I headed for the door, but quickly looked back at Katy. Her raven hair was messy once again. She laid there peacefully, her arms sprawled out freely. I walked over to her still body and placed my warm hand on her pale face. I rubbed my thumb on her temple and lightly kissed her forehead. Gosh she's perfect.

I spent about 5 solid minutes looking at her, and examining her perfection. I'm so lucky to have her. It blows me away sometimes.

________

I placed the rose petals around the living room floor, making a heart shape near the fireplace. I lit the fire and began to start cooking dinner. We were having tacos, which were Katy's favorite. I want this to be really romantic, but simple and subtle at the same time. Either way I'm sure she'll love it.

When I was done I cleaned everything up and lit a few candles, and put the plates down on the table.

"John, Babe?!" Katy asked, probably wondering where I was.

"Oh, shit." I muttered, and pulled off my apron, while making the last few touches.

"Where did you go?" She asked innocently.

"I'm in the kitchen, babe."

She slowly walked into the kitchen. Her eyes were slightly shut. She must've been still waking up. "Did you make this for... me?"

"Yeah. I did." I replied, while scratching the back of my head.

"Oh it's wonderful. Thank you honey." She says, while placing her hands on my chest and pecking my lips.

"No problem. Enjoy."

________

"That was delicious." Katy said, while swallowing the last bite of her tacos.

"Thank you. Why don't we go lay down by the fireplace."

"Oh. That sounds like a perfect idea."

She handed me her dirty plates and I put both of them in the dish washer, and then joined her on the couch.

She sat there, shivering, with only my t-shirt on. "You must be freezing." I laughed, and pulled the throw blanket off the couch.

She giggled. "Yeah. Well it is 20 degrees outside."

I sat down next to her, and wrapped the blanket around her petite body. She placed her head on my chest and I wrapped my arm around her shoulders.

"I had a lot of fun today. Thank you, John."

"No need to thank me. You deserved it. Happy Valentine's Day, love."

"Happy Valentines Day honey."
