Walking back into the arena for the second time, I felt a little more natural and comfortable than before.

On the other side of me, I saw Silvar arrogantly strolling into the arena like he'd done it a million times before.

The crowd's cheers for the both of us rang in my ears as we drew closer to each other.

"Don't disappoint me, "old man."" Silvar said, in a mocking tone.

I knew what he was trying to do.

I wouldn't let him taunt me so easily.

"I won't, "son."" I replied, calmly.

My confidence may not be as high as his, but with gods advice, I was at least a little sure I could pull this off.

You know, sometimes when he wants to, that shitty god can be a little less shitty.

I should save the sentiments for later though, as the fight was about to begin.

With the sounding of the horns again, the fight officially began, and right then and there, he rushed straight towards me.

He really isn't going to let me gain any distance is he? I thought.

It didn't matter though, because I knew something he didn't.

I met his attack head on.

Both our fists collided and sent an earth-shattering roar throughout the arena.

Silvar looked on in shock.

I smirked.

I had already gathered my own treasure hoard over the years, and took it with me on this trip.

Of course, I did cheat a little bit, hehe.

My skills sure are great, aren't they?~

I had already ate every last drop I had, and it was just barely enough to get me to half way to stage 4.

So, I used my skills to create more in secret.

I stayed up all night eating until sunrise, and when I was finally done, I had to sneak back and pretend to be sleeping.

I could only do it because Silvar was being polite to me and was respecting my privacy.

Otherwise, I'd have been caught red-handed.

Literally.

My hands were covered in a ton of strawberry juice.

While Silvar tried to wrap his head around my new found strength, I pushed him away and shot out a much denser green fireball than the ones I used previously.

As the ball launched towards it's target, I steadily hid my presence and waited for the right moment to unleash the final strike.

I absolutely won't let him get a chance to use that OP skill of his.

Silvar stepped to the side just out of the fireballs reach and after realizing I had gone missing, made a snap judgement and changed into his dragon form.

With a loud booming roar, he swiped his tail around the entire arena.

Not being able to fly in my human form really sucks for times like these, I was forced to change into my dragon form and lifted my massive body off the ground for a few minutes as Silvar continued to circle the arena extending his tail out, but not hitting anything.

When he seemed exhausted, I lowered my body to the ground and changed back into my human form and prepared two incredibly dense fireballs.

These two fireballs were packed full with the life energy of the plant life I had a strong connection to.

This was also something I had done in preparation.

Knowing that plant life could strengthen not just me, but my attacks as well, I created some hidden assurance around the arena and allowed various plants to grow under it.

This way, the plants could lessen the load of energy consumption.

Boy, did it pay off to be prepared.

To be honest, it was the shitty gods idea to do this, and to be even more honest, I had no faith in his advice at all.

But, well, he is a god after all, even if he is shitty, he should be able to do some things right.

After charging the two fireballs up to their max, I unleashed them one after another.

Silvar was still slightly exhausted and probably couldn't unleash his more powerful skills because of that, so I made use of that advantage to let loose the balls of death that were meant to drag him to hell (Or at least unconsciousness).

Silvar seeing this, decided to block rather than dodge.

Honestly, bad move, son, bad move.

As he tanked the first hit, his arms were badly bruised and beaten.

Then the second one hit, and the force behind it blew him completely back and he slammed hard into the wall.

He left a deep imprint of his outline as his body slowly crumpled out of the wall.

I had won again, slightly easier this time, but still mentally draining.

Sheesh, am I gonna have to do this for every dragon tribe? I thought as I plopped my butt on the ground.

With that done, all I needed to do now, was wait for Silvar to recover and get the treasure hoard.

Later that night, I went to Silvar's personal den, the place he summoned me to when he first discovered me sneaking in.

We talked a little about various things here and there, I told him some stories of me living that hellish forest, and he told me about a cute giant lizard he had met and befriended when he was younger, and how he helped it evolve into a true dragon, and then he had his two sons with it.

That reminds me.

"I was so focused on getting the treasure, because of the crisis, that I forgot to tell you." I said.

"What is it?" He asked.

"After I awoke, I met this very nice and beautiful human woman, and you have two new, uh, sisters? Half-sisters? Either way, their really cute, and I really wish you could see them if you have the time." I answered.

"A human woman? I admit I'm a little shocked, but I won't question your judgement. And I would gladly go and visit my new sisters if I had the time to do so, but alas, managing this tribe leaves me with no room to leave unless it was an emergency." He spoke.

"I see, that's ashame. If I'm able to when this is all over, I'll bring them over and show you their adorable little faces." I said, feeling dejected.

"Yes, please do, I'd love to see what a dragon-human hybrid would look like." He said.

I smiled, it felt as if even though we had not been able to connect properly as father to son because of circumstances, here and now, we were at least able to connect a little bit as man to man.

Then Silvar got drunk and ranted on about how great and manly his sons had become.

Even though the only image of the two I'd seen of them was me beating their asses, which was far from manly, I didn't have the heart to make such a proud father mad.

So, I listened to him boast while we drank.
