As I opened my eyes, a very annoying eyesore appeared before me.

I was in that white space again.

I was beginning to get sick of seeing this place.

"Yo~ How ya doin'?" The shitty god asked.

"clearly you know, why do you ask that every time I come here?" I asked back in response.

"Aw, don't be like that! We're friends right?~" He said.

"Not really, I had some sympathy for you before, but you've done one thing or another, so all I feel right now towards you is just annoyance." I explained earnestly.

"How rude!~ But, your not wrong I guess!" The shitty god seemed offended from my statement, but bounced back nonetheless.

I could only tch like some anime villain after he so easily shrugged off my comment.

"Anyway, back to business! Congrats on saving a damsel in distress! Very smooth! I didn't think you'd actually run into such a cliché scene so soon. That lady is also a pretty nice catch too~" The shitty god commented.

"Don't make me hit you." I said, agitated.

"What? You don't think like her?" He said.

"What's there not to like? But, I don't plan to stay for long. I've already imposed on her for too long." I replied.

"Really? It's only been two months." The shitty god said.

"Staying any longer would feel like I have to marry her, and I don't think that kind of thing would work out." I explained.

"Why wouldn't it? Haven't you two gotten really comfortable with each other? I know your a dragon, but your spawn has already intermingled with other species on the planet for some time. Where do you think creatures that aren't true dragons, but have the blood of one, come from? It's not as hard to figure out as some may tell you. If you love her, then tell her. If not, then leave. Or you could confess and leave anyway, I'm not going to stop you."

I thought over the words the god said, and made up my mind.

Even though he still had a blurry figure, I could feel his pleased smile after I had decided.

"Right, now on to the important subject." The god immediately changed his tone when talking.

"Make sure to only sparingly use your dragon blood. If you go around and use it whenever there's even a slight danger to those around you, I'm afraid some bad consequences are in store." god began to explain.

"What consequences?" I asked, nervously.

"Your dragon blood isn't just a cure all, it's an incredibly powerful item that could be used to make god-tier potions. You know that lady you gave your blood too? Has she said anything about feeling a little stronger than usual?" god asked.

"Actually, yes, is it because of the dragon blood?" I replied.

"Indeed. The effects of the dragon blood can cure any disease, and make the most physically challenged human gain inhuman strength with a large enough dose. On top of that, those who willingly give their dragon blood to others will share a deep connection rooted in their heart. In other words, you could call them soulmates~" god explained.

"Soulmates?" I asked.

"Yep~ Even though your the father of all dragons, your children all went their separate ways, and created their own customs. One of which, is what I just described. It's a custom where a dragon accepts another creature that is not derived from a dragon, and shares it's blood with it."

Even though I was mostly just a soul in this place, I still felt my face heat up.

"Hehehe! That's a nice look for you!~" The shitty god teased.

"Oh, shut up!" I yelled, embarrassed.

To think I did something like that without even knowing it.

I mean, I admit, my and Aster's relationship progressed far more rapidly than it probably should've gone.

I just assumed we had good affinity for one another.

"You're not completely wrong~ But, yep, it was the dragon's blood!" The shitty god interrupted after rudely reading my thoughts.

"If you have an issue with it, then try harder to stop me~" The shitty replied before he sent me off into another slumber.

I could only give a deep frustrated sigh.

"Let's talk about some other stuff now, shall we?~" god spoke in a cheerful manner.

"Like, what?" I asked.

I feel like I've been asking only questions, with answers that left me with more questions.

"How have you adapted to the magic, yet?" He asked.

"Fine. Aster is a good teacher. I'm a bit annoyed you didn't make the magic usage automatic, but I guess beggars can't be choosers." I replied.

"Good, good. Keep practicing!~ You never know when those two might come in handy!" god spoke.

"I am confused, though." I spoke, a little nervously.

"What?" He asked.

"How come magic doesn't cost something like mana? Or MP?" I answered with another question.

"That's easy, it's because magic is magic, duh! It consumes your stamina rather than MP.  What do you take me for, one of those lame god of games?" the god replied.

"Ok, then what are you a god of?" I asked.

Even though I asked him when we first met, he brushed the question aside, and this time too, he just tossed it aside like it was the most uninteresting question he'd ever heard.

"Fine, don't tell me. I have a rough guess anyway." I said.

"Oh? What is it?" He asked.

"The god of half-assing" I responded, half-jokingly.

The shitty god remained silent for a few moments, then snapped his fingers before my eyes began feeling heavy.

"Wait! I still have some questions left unanswered!" I shouted, but soon all that accompanied me was darkness.
