My name is Aster, I'm a poor girl running a flower shop in a dainty village.

When I was young, my father passed away, and my mother opened up this flower shop in his memory.

But, she too soon left me, and I was all alone.

Until one day.

When I was out shopping for groceries, I heard a child's cry, so I went to investigate and found some very suspicious men cornering her.

I ended up shouting at the men to get away from her and let her hide behind me.

The only thing I knew how to do was use healing magic, but that wasn't going to do much in a fight.

But, just as the men were advancing on us, a man's voice boomed through the alleyway.

"What are you guys doing picking on two innocent girls?"

The man had a beautiful face, with short brown hair, and a slender build.

He looked like some sort of young butler with the outfit he had on.

Did he work for royalty? I wondered.

The suspicious men soon turned their attention towards the man, and my hopes came crashing down.

I never expected anyone to save us, I was just doing what I thought was right.

Imagine my surprise as the men went all out attacking him, and yet he effortlessly dodged each strike, and was unfazed by the power of their magic.

Not only that, but after exhausting them to such a degree, that he simply snapped his fingers and they fell in an instant.

Then the man approached, and I unconsciously hugged the girl tighter to protect her.

But, my weariness loosened after hearing what the man had to say.

"It's alright you two, your safe now." He spoke in a gentle, and warm tone, while bowing his body towards us like a true gentleman.

After that he began to walk away, but I called out to him, stopping him in his tracks.

"What is it, miss?" He asked.

"I-If it's not a bother, would you mind coming over to my house for something to drink and eat? You must be hungry after all that, right?" I asked, hesitantly.

But, before the awkward situation developed, a stomach growl could be heard.

I held my stomach.

How embarrassing.

I looked to the young gentleman, and saw him not minding it.

After a slight pause, he agreed to come over.

My heart was beating faster than it did when those men were advancing on me.

Did I have a heart condition?

Every time I saw the man before me, my heart couldn't help but pound harder, causing a tight pain in my chest.

I'll need to ask the doctor what's wrong with me.

"Are you alright?" The young man before asked.

I could only nod as I kept myself from gripping my chest, despite how badly I wanted to.

Eventually we arrived at the flower shop I had managed all these years alone, and this was the first time in a long time I had invited anyone, let alone a man, over.

I was feeling very embarrassed and anxious about this, but hurried in nonetheless.
