I descended from above, I calmly landed on the shore of the ocean.

I looked around, but no one paid me any attention.

I was a little disappointed.

I had just started to get used to all attention the other dragons gave me, and now no one here actually seemed to care.

As I strolled around I began to realize that literally no one showed an anxious expression.

And worst of all.

Their voices.

"Woah, dude, this brownie smoothie is like totes delish." One guy said.

"Hang ten!" Said another.

I sighed, this was not what I was expecting.

I decided use the ability that lets me communicate with stage 4 or higher dragons in a higher frequency to see if I could get the elder dragons attention, and warn them of the impending doom.

"Hello? Can anyone hear me?" I asked.

"Like, cha, bra." A female voice sounded in my ear.

"Hey, I really need to chat, so..." I asked, awkwardly.

I wasn't really sure how to do this, before the two elders previously had reached out to me so it wasn't hard, but asking like this felt weird.

"Like, sure, bra, just come in to my surf and chill shack, and then we can, like, hang or somethin'." She replied.

I was starting to think these dragons had a few screws missing.

After an hour of looking for her "shack" I ended up finding it.

And boy, are these dragons beyond special.

Her shack was one of those dungeon towers that princesses are locked up in, only made out of sand.

Why on earth she chose this to be her space of residence, is beyond me.

Granted, I have little understanding of the modern dragons in this world anyway, but still.

I feel like Silvar or the young dragon should've mentioned about these crazies.

Ugh, talking with this lady was seriously giving me a headache.

I really do wonder what exactly their diet is to make them so relaxed even when they know they are going to die.

I got to the main topic of my coming here, and asked to have the treasure in their treasury.

I was surprised she agreed to quickly, but then I heard the condition for it.

I had to win a surfing competition.

Seriously, why?

We're dragons, not surfers.

I agreed though, against my better judgement.

I probably could've just tricked the elder dragon into showing me where her tribes treasury was, and then sneak in later.

Not gonna lie, they don't seem to be all there, if you know what I mean.

But, I was already annoyed by these guys and just wanted to hurry up and get out of here.

That and I thought it would be too mean to trick them like that.

Though, I doubt they'd notice, let alone care if I did take it in secret.

After a few days of prep time, and flailing about trying to surf in the ocean in the body of a giant dragon, I decided I'd go in using my trump card.

That day, me and the elder were the only two who entered the competition.

Apparently, no one else signed up because they had been totally beaten by the elder in previous competitions.

That sure gave a boost to my confidence.

Well, still, with my trump card it should be fine.

Once it had begun, I waited until I was far enough away from everyone and used my transformation skill to change into human form.

You might be thinking, what good will that do?

The answer?

A lot, apparently.

I had better balance, better control, and most of all, the strength of familiarity.

I had gotten really familiar with my dragon form, especially at night, but my human form was something I've had two lifetimes to get to used to.

In other words?

I'm a motherfucking king, baby.

King of the seas, that is.

As intense wave after wave continued to come without end, I began to realize that despite all my boasting, surfing was still really hard, and I had zero experience in doing it.

But, I managed to somehow find my rhythm and went with it the entire time.

On the other hand, the female elder was starting to get tired and seemed ready to lose her balance any time.

After an hour, she finally fell and I had managed to win.

I quickly changed back into my dragon form and swam up on to the shore, ready to claim my prize.

"Like, no way bra, you totally cheated out there." The female elder said.

"How?" I asked.

"You like, turned into a human, man, everyone knows those dudes have it wayyyyyy too easy when it comes to surfing the waves~" She replied.

"Did anyone else see me turn into a human?" I asked around.

No one said anything.

"Like, fine. It's just a competition anyway. Sorry for like, totally being a bummer, man." She said.

I felt a little guilty about doing this, but honestly, not all that much.

"I'm surprised there's no statue or something here?" I said, as I looked into the cave.

It was located down in the ocean, so it was no wonder I couldn't find it when I went looking for it.

"Like, why would we have a statue?" She asked.

"Don't you guys worship like some sort of ancestor dragon?" I asked back.

"Eh? Oh, yeah, there was something like that huh. I don't really remember much since the accident." She said.

"Accident?" I asked.

"Yeah. My brothers said something about hitting my head on a rock when I was little or something. I don't know, man, sounds a bit far fetched if you ask me, anyway, we're here." She explained.

I looked around, and my eyes began to shine with golden strawberries.

Treasures galore!

Ahem, sorry.

My inner greed came out, after I've been suppressing it this entire time.

I quickly stored all that was there into my inventory and couldn't help exclaim in excitement about having succeed in my goal, or at least half of it.

I told the female elder to go back and do, whatever it is she does.

I'd be out when I was done doing something.

After she left I quickly devoured everything in sight that I brought of my inventory.

Now, I just had to finish and reach stage 5.

Then, I'd execute plan faith.
