As I entered the new cave formation that had been revealed by the moving of the boulder, I couldn't help but note how cold it was.

Unlike the area before I entered, where a rich breath of life was emitted endlessly, this area seemed like the exact opposite.

A chilling sense of lifelessness was emitted all around me.

I could sense an incredible amount of danger after just taking a few steps in towards the cave, making me realize that something was definitely not right here.

As I continued to walk deeper and deeper, my sense of danger continued to ramp up to the extreme.

That was when I came to the end.

A giant cliff that only continued to go down.

"Hello~" I shouted, but only my echoes responded back to me.

Taking a deep breath, I changed into my human form as I jumped down the rabbit hole, so to speak.

The young dragon was scared shitless from just peering into the cave, so I advised him to stay and not follow me.

Which worked out for me, because that meant I could use my transformation skill without restraint.

You might be thinking, jumping into a seemingly bottomless pit was a really bad idea, and kind of a stupid move, not gonna lie.

You'd be right.

I screamed at the top of my lungs as I continued to descend helplessly reaching towards the bottom.

After what felt like forever, I finally hit the ground.

Well, it was more of a splat, but who cares about the details.

Anyway, as I got up and brushed myself off, I noticed a curious sight before me.

There were a variety of drawings that seemed to tell a story.

There was a drawing of a green dragon standing tall over a mountaintop, and another one depicting the dragon fighting some dark entity along with various other people.

A golden covered figure seemed to be leading the group of people from various backgrounds against the dark entity.

"I wonder what these mean?" I asked aloud.

I had no idea, but for some reason it seemed very important.

As I went deeper into the tunnel I noticed the drawings began to show up less and less, until eventually at the end, there were no more drawings left to read.

I was a bit disappointed, because they seemed interesting enough, but I couldn't exactly do anything about it.

I felt even more regret for not being able to see my son and grandson when they were most likely traversing this area.

Is it possible one of them drew these?

Or, were they like me and found them before?

Surely, there drawings weren't what spooked the two of them?

Of course not, which meant something very bad was lurking in these depths.

I decided to hurry up and loot the treasure before I ran into whatever it was that was down here.

Even though I say that, finding this supposed treasure is hard.

In these four million years of being locked away, they didn't rot away did they?

No, no, surely not?

The West tribes treasures were in peak condition despite some of them being there for over nine million years.

I wonder if the foods here take a longer time to rot, or if the dragon tribes have developed methods to preserve the food for a longer time?

Either way, there should be some food left, right?

As I ventured even deeper, I eventually ran into what felt like a brick wall.

A complete dead end.

I didn't even notice it until it was right in front of me.

It was completely void of any warmth.

I knocked on it a few times to see if I could find some sort of hidden door, but nope, nothing.

After a few minutes of doing that, a very terrifying noise sounded in my ears.

"Nuuuuu"

What the hell kind of noise even was that!?

That was when I saw it.

The wall I had bumped into, began to move slightly.

I clicked my tongue in frustration.

It was one of those stories, wasn't it?

Just creature so big it manages to blend in well with the environment, usually a person only notices that they've entered the creatures mouth, but this time I noticed that the wall was simply the side of the creature.

I began to think, and hatched a reckless plan.

I'd annoy it until it finally moved out of the goddamn way.

Which worked.

After a few minutes of pestering the noise grew louder, and obviously more annoyed.

Once it moved a large chunk of space seemed to open up even further.

Holy shit, just how deep is this place?

After looking around for a while, I noticed the treasure hoard ripe for the taking.

I looked the other way, and saw a giant eye staring directly at me.

Oh shit.

I hurried up ran over to the treasure changed into my dragon form and ran the hell out of the cave, flying at top speed.

I could hear the devastation and destruction being caused by the giant creature behind me, but I dared not look back and simply gunned it as fast as possible to the top.

Hopefully, this huge bastard couldn't fly, otherwise the entire city is doomed.

Thankfully, my prayed were answered.

As I began to ascend in the final moments, a giant mouth opened up picking up speed towards me, encompassing around me.

But, at the last minute, it began to slowly and swiftly withdraw, like gravity had begun to push it back down.

Phew.

That was exhausting.

After doing something like that, I felt like I needed a nap, and what place is more perfect for me to lay down than a cave design especially for me? I thought as my eyes began to get heavy for the millionth time.
