Kae Jung's POV

"Phew... I thought my heart was going to burst when he walked me home." I closed the door and leant against it.

I placed my right hand over my heart, still feeling the tremble and rapid heart beat from the moment he saw me singing in the cafe. I felt so embarrassed about it and I do not know how I was going to face him again if he comes to the cafe.

"All the work I did to not give hope of being with him was just destroyed within a single blow." I sighed as I went to lie on my bed.

I was living alone in a small house near the cafe, thankfully. Since it was the school holidays, I had more time to spend outside and also earn some money. The house was a one room, I had a little kitchen and a red sofa bed which was queen-sized since I need a little sofa for at least two people. I didn't even bother unfolding the sofa and just crashed into it as I fell asleep within minutes.

"Onew-sshi..." I mumbled subconsciously, falling into a deep slumber.

Onew's POV

I managed to go back before the coffee turns really cold and the rest were just practising on the new MV Sherlock's routine.

"Yah(Hey), coffee's here." I shouted at them, stopping them at their tracks just when the chorus part was about to play.

I laughed at their sudden surprised movements.

"What?" I looked at them as they glared at me while taking their coffee.

"Yah(Hey), Why is one different?" I quickly avert my eyes to Taemin who was sipping my vanilla mocha away.

I snatched it within seconds before he took another sip.

"It's mine." I said and all of them looked at each other.

Key suddenly smiled at me and turned to the rest of the clueless guys.

"I think... Someone has special connections to whoever who made these coffees... Besides... Which cafe opens until 2am in the morning..." he gave me a strange and suspecting look as the rest of them looked at me, smiling cheekily.

"I think so too..." all of them agreed.

"Y-yah... What are you guys talking about..." I said as I looked around, not wanting to meet their eyes.

"Amutun(Anyway), good thing I manage to get some coffee, if not, all of us would be very tired for tomorrow's interview at KBS. " I said as I went to stretch myself for practice.

I sneaked a peak at them and they were still discussing about why my coffee was different and where I got them. I sighed and started dancing thinking about Kae Jung and laughed to myself.

The next day was not as tiring because we had some more coffee in the morning.

“Let’s go guys!” I said, being a responsible and optimistic leader of SHINee, though I may be clumsy a few times but I’m good.

“Psh, what are you doing, get in the van, hyung.” Taemin said as we went off to KBS

“When we arrived there, swarm of reporters snapped our pictures even before we went out of the van. Something was weird though; most of the reporters went to me and kept asking me if I was dating. I furrowed my brows as we went into the KBS building. I took off my sunglasses as I saw a headline on the TV in the building.

“Apparently, Onew-sshi from SHINee seem to have a close relationship with an unknown lady who does not seem like she is a Korean. The news was…” the paparazzi kept swarming against me. I felt like I was getting bitten by the real bees stings.

I covered my face as I looked at the guys. They looked at me with their eyebrows raised and helped me block from the reporters.

“Yah, hyung, what happened? Who is she? Why are you caught like this?” Minho asked me with great concern as the rest of them listen to him, waiting for my answer attentively.

“I… She… “ I looked at them as I gave up, knowing the truth has to be revealed.

“She is just a friend. I met her at the café that was conjoined with a bookstore.” I saw Key flinched at the mention of the café.

“What’s wrong Key? Do you know her?” I asked him.

“I went there just a few days ago to buy your Christmas presents, the pens and pencils.” He said, “but I didn’t see her.”

“That’s because she was in charge of the café section and not the stationery part.” I said as I sighed deeply.

Jonghyun only stood staring at the floor as we went into the makeup room.

Just as the interview was about to start, Key asked me something that I didn’t thought of.

“Do you think they would ask about her and yourself?” he asked.

I only sat there, silently thinking.

Then I felt as if I was shot by an arrow through my heart. Right behind us, the television screen placed a photo of me sending Kae Jung home as I smiled, waving at her.

“Damnit.” I whispered in my head.

“So, Onew-sshi, I heard that you’re meeting someone outside, a foreigner to be exact from these pictures. What is your relationship with her? That’s what our viewers are dying to know. “ the interviewer asked me as I looked at her directly, answering it seriously.

“She is just my old friend, I happened to run into her when i was going to buy some things for the members.” I said smoothly, not wanting to get caught off guard.

‘Ahh… I think that would ease the hearts of our young ladies outside there now won’t we?” she smiled as the little group of audience laughed as well.

I thought the day wouldn’t get any better.
