After the students were assigned rooms, Jade and Peter met outside and left to talk about the fire monster that was to be in Prague in the next few hours.

"You got that?" Nick asked.

"Yes, sir," Jade said, starting to feel nervous now.

She had her arms crossed and was standing beside the fireplace— she liked the warmth it was giving. During the whole meeting, she couldn't keep her mind focused on what Nick and Beck were saying. She knew the plan, it was a simple plan, but her main objective in the meeting was figuring out who Beck really was. He couldn't possibly be who he said he is because how did he get from one universe to another? Maybe there was a way, but he never explained it. And she thought it was weird that Fury and Maria were totally for this new guy. They didn't see a problem with it all and it bothered Jade.

When her brain started hurting from all the stress and thoughts of figuring out what's wrong with the mission, she noticed Peter's uneasy state. She could tell he wasn't paying too much attention to what the plan was, but she didn't know what he was thinking. He was worried about something and Jade hated seeing him like that.

Fury looked towards Peter, who had his back turned to everyone at this point. He didn't answer.

"Parker? You got it?" Fury asked again. Nothing. "Parker!" He shouted. "Parker!"

"Yes, sir?" Peter asked suddenly, turning to face Fury and the rest.

"That thing's going to be here in a few hours. Are we boring you?" Fury asked.

"He's not bored, he's just thinking about how you kidnapped him," Beck said.

And another thing that bothered Jade was Beck's tone. She never could pull a word from her head on how he spoke, but she didn't like whatever it was. He sounded fake, like he was trying to be on both sides by sounding innocent and understanding. Maybe she just didn't like him, but her gut feeling is never wrong.

"He had obstacles. I removed them," Fury explained.

"By putting our friends in danger," Jade spoke up.

"They still won't evacuate the city," Maria said, coming towards the rest while everyone ignored her input.

"Idiots," Fury groaned. "So what's the plan, Parker?"

"Jade and I will be in the cathedral tower keeping watch for the fire monster. When that shows up, I will radio you guys, and then Mr. Beck and—"

"My name is Mysterio," Beck said, widening his eyes.

Peter smiled at Beck, but Jade just watched, confused. She still had her arms crossed and hasn't spoken much the whole time— unless she needed to— as you can tell, they didn't care to hear what she had to say. She looked back and forth between Beck and Nick to see if something was off, nothing yet.
