"Look, it's nothing personal, bud, but... you know, it actually is personal,"

Jade had just cornered the last rat she needed to catch and she thought if she had to catch dirty rats, then she should at least have some fun.

She lunged towards the rat with her speed and easily caught it then ran back to where they were keeping the cage that held the others.

"That should have been the last of them. Thanks, Jade," Wong smiled, picking up the cage.

"No problem, not like it took an hour to do," Jade laughed sarcastically. It did take close to an hour to find and catch them all, which wasn't that big of a deal but she was wanting to go back to Michelle's to try and cheer her up.

"Next time, I'll place tracking devices on them," Wong replied just as sarcastic.

Jade started to laugh, who knew she'd have so much fun catching rats with Wong? But her laugh slowly began to stop. Suddenly, something didn't feel right.

Wong noticed her sudden change of tone, "What is it?"

"Something's not right," she said, looking around for anything abnormal. She activated her black suit, seeing if VERONICA could find anything.

Then something rolled out in front of her and Wong, a dark orange ball that looked almost black, with a glowing center and it was blinking.

"What the—?" Jade mumbled to herself trying to look at it closer but she turned around, jumping to push Wong out the way.

The ball blew up— it's was a bomb!

"I'm picking up thermal energy from the sky," VERONICA said.

"What is it?!" Jade asked, pushing herself up from the ground. She was too spooked to make some type of snarky remark that she'd think of later on.

"You're not getting away again!" Someone yelled out.

VERONICA couldn't see anything with all the smoke surrounding Jade, "I can't make out anything!"

Jade looked over to Wong, who hadn't moved yet. "Wong?!" No response. She quickly jumped over to him and pressed her head to his chest, listening for a heartbeat. "Oh, thank Thor!" She breathed. She pulled out her sling ring and opened a portal under him that placed him in the palace.

Jade looked up towards the sky, the smoke was still surrounding her. She closer her eyes and took a deep breath before clapping her hands and waving her arms to clear the smoke. Once everything was clear, a figure was floating in the sky but she couldn't tell who it could be.

"How could you, Jaidan?! He was all I had left and you managed to take that away too!" The someone yelled, staring her down. By the voice, Jade could tell it was a man but she didn't recognize it. He was standing on some sort of glider, wearing an all blackish-green suit with goggles and a mask that covered his nose and mouth so she definitely couldn't tell who it was.
