Peter knew exactly what he needed to fix Doctor Connors, he grabbed bottles and tubes and was putting mixtures together as if he was just mixing random colors of water. It amazed Jaidan, she felt like he didn't need her help at all.

"Can you hand me that?" He asked, pointing beside her at the long, metallic tube laying beside her.

Jaidan blinked rapidly, she didn't notice she wasn't paying attention to anything but him. "Y-yeah," she stuttered and handed it to him.

What is wrong with me? She thought to herself. She was never the one to be nervous. Why did she feel like she was gonna throw up? In a good way?

"Thanks," he smiled and stuck it on the bottle.

Jaidan smiled back, that was so cute, she thought. Oh my, Thor, I need to stop!

Then suddenly, Ned rolls his way beside the other Peter and Jade who were working on the Osborn serum. Jade figured out that somehow something was added in after she finished it. It was a neutralizing variable that made it to where none of the working products would affect the targeted source. Jade thought that Goblin had done it while she wasn't paying attention.

"So," Ned started, talking towards normal-clothed Peter. "Do you have a best friend too?"

"I did," normal-clothed Peter said, still working on the serum.

"You did?" Ned asked, confused on what he meant.

"He died in my arms... after he tried to kill me,"

Jade looked at Ned, both their eyes wide. Jaidan looked at her Peter and they both had wide eyes too.

"It was heartbreaking." Normal-clothed Peter finished, shaking his head.

"Dude," lab-coated Peter whispered.

Ned left Jade and normal-clothed Peter, walking away slowly. Poor Ned, Jade thought to herself.
He walked by Peter's workstation and looked at him with a woozy expression.

"Will you, uh, run a diagnostic?" Peter asked.

"Yeah," Ned mumbled and typed something into the computer. Then he slowly backed away and left awkwardly.

Jade made a face and walked over to her Peter, slowly sitting down, "Hey," she said quietly.

"Hey," Peter grinned slightly, turning towards her.

"Are you okay?" She asked.

Peter smiled again, "I will be,"

Jade smiled back, I love you, she wished she could say to him.
