Since Syrine and I married, I've become immune to pain. I have so many reasons to hate Syrine and her daughter - Rean Sylverhea. I should hate them for caging me up...but how can I hate them?

"Baby, you should sleep early," malambing na pagkakasabi ni Syrine kay Rean.

Rean immediately pouted as she looks at me. "Daddy, I don't want to sleep yet."

Daddy...she calls me that. Hindi kasi namin sinabi ni Syrine sa kanya ang totoo na hindi ako ang totoong ama nya. She's too innocent to know that one yet.

I patted her. "What did Daddy say about not sleeping early?"

Syrine and I immediately laughed at her when she immediately pouted at us. "That my guardian angel would be mad at me," she said cutely.

We just waited for her to sleep before leaving out from her room. As usual, we always treat each other like strangers every time we're alone. I just drink whiskey on the balcony while staring at the stars.

How are you? Are you doing good? I heard that you're already here in the Philippines. Can I see you again? I promised I won't talk with you. I'll just look at you...I'm happy already about that.

I guess the stars heard my wish when Johan invited me to a certain club. It was like a mini-concert for Amore - a band where Zari's cousin, Ren is a member. I was feeling the song as it holds the pain that I've been enduring for years.

"Guys, I have someone here with me," Johan suddenly said.

He excused himself earlier to have a restroom break. Johan has been my friend since I started working as an engineer. I knew all of her women and even her types...so seeing that someone who was with him made me shocked.

It's Zari.

I didn't expect to see her sooner. She changed, huh? Her appearance changed as she got matured. But her effect on me...didn't change at all. She's still the one who made my heart beat faster and louder.

"You're already married. Why do you keep on staring at her?" Johan asked me immediately after Zari left our table.

"None of your business," was the only thing I said.

It's because...I missed her. Seeing her again made me happier than ever. I even keep on smiling when I went back home. Nagulat tuloy si Syrine nang makita nya ako pagkauwi.

"What happened?" she immediately asked, but not in a sweeter tone.

Syrine was like a sister to me. Whenever we talk, it always sounded like a sibling's conversation. That's why whenever her parents are here...we always ended up trying hard, draining ourselves, just to look like a couple.

I smiled softly. "I saw her."

Her lips parted because of what I said. She looks guilty now also. I just chuckled before giving her a tight and warm hug. What she did is selfish and selfless at the same time.

She became selfish because she ruined my relationship with Zari but she's also selfless because she did all those things even if she doesn't want to just to save Rean Sylverhea - her daughter.

"So, you met her again?" Devyll asked, he's one of my cousins.

He's here at my house so we could drink. He's been my drink buddy ever since Rhys had a girlfriend. We always drink every time we have time to spend with each other.

Ininom ko muna ang whiskey ko bago sya sinagot. "Yes," I smile softly. "She became prettier."

He chuckled at me. "Do you know Xel?" he suddenly asked.
