Chapter 33- The greatest

-Noelle's POV-

"I hate asking you every time I have a date with Zayn, but could you do my makeup?" I asked Kasey, who was lying on her stomach on her bed, paging through a magazine.

"I'm going to have to start charging you or something." She laughed slightly, closing the magazine that she's probably read through a million times by now.

"I mean, if that's what it takes. It just looks so much better when you do it." I said, pulling a ripped pair of light wash skinnies up my legs.

"Well it should, I've been doing makeup since the 8th grade. If it didn't look good, my entire high school career would have been a waste of time." She joked, standing up off her bed and straightening out her baggy pink sweats.

"Looks like you don't have any plans for tonight?" I inquired, raising an eyebrow at her.

"Nope. Logan is currently on a flight home to see his family for the holidays. He said I could go with him, but I just thought it was too soon to meet the family. I mean, we've only been together for a few months." She shrugged, a sad look in her eyes.

"It's a good sign though, him wanting you to meet his family already. It sounds like he's pretty serious about you." I replied, slipping on a black tank top.

"That's exactly what I'm worried about. He's graduating next year, so I don't want him to be that into me you know? We're going to break up eventually, and I want to cause as little heartbreak as possible." She explained, gathering up her cosmetics bag.

"Hurting people is inevitable." I shrugged at her.

"Noelle, I love you and everything, but I think you might need to embrace the idea of a skirt, or maybe a dress. You're always in jeans, doesn't it get tiring? Always wearing the same thing?" Kasey said, giving my entire outfit a look of disapproval.

"It's basically all I own. And it's just easy." I shrugged at her.

"You have a job, so you have money. You need to spend some of that money on a style." She said with a smile.

"Okay, just shut up and make me look presentable yeah?" I smiled back at her.

I met Zayn in front of my dorm, wearing one of the many outfits that Kasey had suggested. When I let slip that Zayn was taking me to a nice restaurant, she practically ripped the jeans off of me. I had replaced them with a maroon colored skirt and a short back shirt that had a low scooping back. I had been able to convince Kasey to let me wear my black converse, after she had shoved multiple pairs of heels my way.

I was definitely not a heels type of girl, I would probably break an ankle or something if I even attempted walking in them. When Zayn approached, I silently thanked Kasey because his eyes practically bulged out of his head when he ran his eyes up and down my body. I liked having that kind of effect on him every once in a while, seeing as he had that effect on me all the time.

"You look beautiful." He said once he was close to me, running a hand along my left arm. The simple touch sent chills through my whole body, and I hoped that he didn't notice the goosebumps that formed under his fingertips.

"Thanks. It's all because of Kasey insisting that I become more stylish." I smiled widely at him.

"I'll have to thank her later then. We should get going, we have a reservation." He said, a smirk sneaking onto his gorgeous face.

"Fancy." I smirked up at him before he took my hand in his and lead me off campus where he had parked his car.
