Chapter 39- My Thoughts

-Harry's POV-

The need to for me to break up with Lyric became more dire as the days passed by. She was ridiculously attached to me, which was partially flattering, but it was mostly just annoying because I couldn't even breath without her being around.

The only time I really got away from her was when I had to go to class. And even then I had a bittersweet feeling because yes, I was away from Lyric, but I was also in class. Class honestly wasn't that bad at all, it was just long, so I got bored easily. It was tedious really, listening to a professor talk about phycology for two hours straight, even though it was one of my favorite classes.

About halfway through class, my phone buzzed quietly from where it say in my lap. I glanced down at it, grateful for the distraction, and found a text from Niall.

'You need to get your ass home and control your girlfriend.' The text read.

I looked up from my phone, knowing that my confusion was clear on my face. Why was Niall not in class? What was Lyric doing this time? And most of all, why did Niall think I could control her?

I tried for about ten minutes to ignore the text and focus on the lecture that I was supposed to be taking notes on, but I was too distracted. So I stood from my seat in the back of the class and shoved my notebook into my backpack, turning to exit the classroom.

I got a few jealous looks from my peers, they probably were just as bored by this lecture as I was. I had almost made it to the door before my professors voice stopped me.

"And where are you going Mr. Styles? You think you're better than everyone here and you can just walk out?" The man said.

"I don't think that sir. I've got something that needs handling. My apologies." I said, turning my head over my shoulder to look at the man in the front of the room, who's black hair was messy and who's dim green eyes were watery.

It looked as if he was going to say something more, but instead he just clenched his jaw and gave me a nod. I silently thanked him and exited the classroom, hurrying through the familiar campus to where my car was parked.

I tossed my bag into the seat behind me before starting the ignition and swinging out of my parking spot and onto to the road that would take me back to the apartment.

I didn't have a long drive home, for which I was thankful because my thoughts were somewhat imparting my ability to drive well. That same thing had been happening to me a lot lately, and it was definitely something that I needed to address as a problem.

I pulled into the parking lot of the apartment and began jogging up the stairs, and I was about a flight away when I heard two female voices screaming. It was clearly coming from my apartment. Shit, what was I about to walk into? For a second I actually considered turning back around and driving far away from this problem, but I needed to face it. Now is as good of a time as any.

I took a deep breath before I turned the knob and entered the apartment.

"What the fuck is your problem! You're such a bitch! You've been trying to steal him from me since the minute you got here! He's mine!" Lyric yelled furiously in Noelle's direction.

"You're honestly so fucking delusional." Noelle countered, putting her hands on either side of her face to display her aggravation.

"No, I think you're the delusional one. He's never going to want you the way you want him to! So you can just fucking drop it." Lyric spat. Neither of the girls had even noticed me enter the apartment, however, Niall had.
