Chapter 35- Show you off
-Harry's POV-
"Okay, why the fuck do I never have any clean socks?!" Niall hollered from inside our bedroom. Of course he hasn't been ready to go, he had hardly started packing and we had to leave the apartment in a half hour if we wanted to get to the airport in time for our flight.
"Because you never do laundry." I said, not loud enough for him to hear me. He was a bit on edge, no sense in pissing him off for no reason.
It took him nearly 20 minutes to throw some clothes, whether they were clean or not, into his suitcase and then join me in the living room.
"So Noelle's on her way right? We need to leave soon." He said, leaning his bag against the wall next to the door before swinging open the fridge.
"I assume so." I shrugged at him.
"You on good terms with your girlfriend?" Niall inquired nonchalantly.
"I'm pretty sure... she reacted pretty well when I told her about Noelle anyway. But who knows, this is Lyric we're taking about." I told him, unlocking my phone and tapping on Noelle's contact.
I saw Niall nod at me from the kitchen as Noelle's voice came through the phone.
"Calm down, I'm walking up the stairs now." Is all she said before hanging up
I hopped up off the couch and opened the front door, just as Noelle was reaching for the handle.
"What, were you just going to walk right in or something?" I teased her as she came into the apartment, pulling a tattered suitcase behind her.
"Is that what it looked like I was going to do?" She said back, setting her bag by Nialls before jointing him in the kitchen.
"Basically." I said.
"Well then yes, I was just going to walk in." Noelle said, playfully crossing her arms over her chest.
"Well I guess I can't argue with that. I should just have a key made for you yeah?" I played along.
"I don't like that idea too much." Lyric said rudely, emerging from her bedroom. Her hair was messy and her clothes were wrinkled, she clearly has just gotten out of bed. I turned to shoot her a look, but I was met with a look that was far more menacing than anything I could have pulled.
"It's alright, I'm pretty sure he was kidding Lyric." Noelle said back plainly. I had been fully expecting her to say something sarcastic, because she didn't usually let people talk to her like that. But I was thankful that age kept her cool, even though Lyric certainly wasn't.
"He better have been." Lyric contributed, not wiping the scowl off of her face. I noticed that Noelle tensed up slightly, a look of discomfort on her face. I knew I had to interject, before they got into a full fledged fight.
"I definitely was babe, don't worry." I said, crossing the room to pull Lyric into a hug. She hugged me back, although she was stiff and I knew she was still glaring at Noelle over my shoulder. I understood that she was angry or jealous about Noelle coming home with me, but she was acting childish.
"I'm uh... going to put my bag in the car then." Noelle said as I turned back around to face her and Niall in the kitchen.
"I'll take ours down too." I said to Niall, which got me a warning look. Niall was right, that probably wasn't the best move given how tense Lyric already was. But I was already gathering the suitcases. I could practically feel Lyric rolling her eyes at me behind my back.
I went out the front door in front of Noelle and we began walking down the stairs before she stopped and turned back around.
"Left my phone." She said, leaving her suitcase sitting on the stair where she had been as she climbed back up. I continued to climb down the stairs, the bags heavy in my hands.
