Chapter 30- We're only getting older

-Noelle's POV-

I probably would have stayed at Harry's longer if Lyric hadn't been acting so weird, but I was glad to be away from her. I had gotten the feeling that she didn't like me very much a while ago, but her actions today sort of confirmed it. I didn't care that she disliked me, it would be a waste of time to put any thought into it.

She could be as weird and possessive over Harry as she wanted, I wasn't just going to let Harry slip away from my life, I couldn't handle that again.

I was walking back to campus in the middle of the night, which probably should have bothered me, but it didn't. I don't think that anyone is going to give me any trouble... the only people around here are other students anyway.

I reached my dorm safely, just as I had suspected. Kasey was already asleep when I got there, nearly all of the clothes she owned thrown all over the floor. The mess didn't bother me at all, this is exactly what I lived in for many years back on the ranch. I still wasn't the neatest person in the world, but I tried to stay as organized as I could. Granted, that wasn't even organized at all, but I was making an effort.

I put my phone on the charger, stripped out of my clothes, threw on an old, bleach stained t-shirt and fell into bed. As usual, my sleep pattern was pretty much nonexistent, so I didn't fall asleep right away. I never did, no matter how tired I was. It was a miracle that I even led a life because I was always tired, like falling asleep everyday in class tired. I didn't know how to fix it, just like most other things in my life.

"I am losing my shit right now! I mean, I'm completely losing it! I'm not built for this kind of pressure! What the hell am I supposed to wear to the biggest party I've ever been to?!" Kasey rattled off, looking through the piles of clothes on the floor for the hundredth time today.

"Just wear something you're comfortable in I guess. Who do you have to impress anyway?" I said with a shrug, pulling on some high waisted black skinnies that had holes in both knees.

"I have everyone to impress!" She screeched. I began pulling on a white t-shirt that was a size too big, but Kasey wouldn't let me even get one arm in the hole before stopping me. "What do you think you're doing?" She said, her voice full of sass.

"Putting on a shirt...." I said, giving her an incredulous look.

"You are absolutely not wearing an oversize t-shirt to this party. I won't allow it." She scolded, walking over to me and ripping the shirt from my hands.

"What do you suggest then? I literally have nothing else." I retorted.

"Then you'll borrow something from me. You want Zayn to be attracted to you, and that shirt definitely will not do it." She said with a scoff and began digging through her piles of clothes once again.

"Wait slow down. Who said I wanted Zayn to be attracted to me? I know I didn't say that." I said, putting my hands on my hips.

"I know you didn't say it, but I just did. Look, he clearly has some interest in you because he invited you to this party. You're not showing up like you just rolled out of bed or something. You're way too hot for that." She scoffed, smirking at me playfully. She hadn't put on her make-up yet, so she looked much different than she usually did. Make-up really does work wonders, I'm not saying that Kasey isn't pretty without it, I'm just saying that it made her look completely different.

"I think you're crazy. I'm not hot." I laughed back.

"No, you're the crazy one. Have you seen yourself? I mean, if I wasn't straight, I would be totally into you." She contributed smirking at me.
