Chapter 38- Got it
-Noelle's POV-
The remainder of my trip to Chicago went on without any further complications, which I was thankful for.
Anne had cried when we left, which broke my heart. It must've been hard for her, having to say goodbye to her son for a second time. Harry reassured her that we would be back soon, and told her not to miss us too much. Yeah, as if that would happen. I miss Harry all the time, and we go to school together. He was just one of those people that you couldn't help but get attached to, it was a blessing and a curse.
"Niall, we are not going to McDonald's again." Harry groaned, noticing that Niall had begun walking across the busy airport and towards the fast food place.
"Oh come on!" Niall whined, sounding like a little kid. I bit my lip to hold back a laugh because I knew that I would get scolded by Harry if I encouraged Niall at all.
"No. We're going to eat actual food." Harry said, starting to walk towards the elevator to get to the ground level of the airport. Niall stayed in his place for a moment, people hurrying past him quickly, not paying any mind to the blonde haired boy pouting in the center of everything.
"Come on then." I said to him over the chatter that filled the airport at all times. Niall let out a huff of defeat and hurried to walk by my side.
The three of us made our way out of the place filled with people of far more importance than us, and caught a cab that took us back into the area of our school campus.
Harry sat in the front seat and directed the can driver on where to go, while Niall and I sat in the back, watching a movie on his phone. He had the patience of a 5 year old, so he had to be occupied at all times. I didn't mind it at all, I didn't have much patience myself.
When we pulled up in front of Harrys apartment, Harry got out and payed the driver, before he yanked all three of our bags out of the trunk. I said a quick thank you to the driver, and he was on his way.
We lugged our stuff up the stairs as the sun was already setting behind us, leaving the air cool and the sky orange. This was possibly my favorite time of day, things just seemed calmer, less hectic. Everyone was just about getting home, hugging their families and warming up their dinner.
Once we all made it up the stairs, Lyric swung open the front door and let out a high pitched squealing sound, which practically made me cringe. She then flung herself into Harry's arms, acting like they hadn't seen each other in years. Her dramatic display made me dislike her even more that I already had.
Niall was beside himself with laughter at the way the two of them hugged frantically, while I just leaned against the stair railing and rolled my eyes.
"I missed you so much babe." Lyric said, pulling away from Harry slightly.
"I missed you too." Harry said, forcing a smile. He was as grossed out by her behavior as I was, and I was loving it. A smirk formed on my lips involuntarily, but I didn't try to make it go away.
"Let's go inside now." Niall interrupted, pointing towards the door that was still sitting open at the top of the stairs.
Lyric let out an irritated groan, but led all three of us into the apartment.
It was cold in the apartment, despite the heating fan that was placed on the kitchen counter.
"Lyric why is it so fucking cold in here?" Niall complained right when I shut the door behind all of us.
"Heating us expensive. I don't know what you expect, we're not rich." Lyric shrugged, winding her fingers through Harry's.
"Yeah. I know. But we're so broke we can't afford heat? All three of us work." Niall contemplated, pulling his bag into his bedroom before re-entering the living room area.
