"Shh! Shh." The family silently moved into the bedroom. "Okay, 1.. 2.."

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"

The boy who slept shook awake, almost screamed but saw his sister holding a sleeping Lucien. They started singing the birthday song both in English and Spanish. Joyce had a cake with a few lit candles, "Make a wish, Will!"

Will closed his eyes and said a wish in his head. He blew out the candles and smiled, a real smile.

Everyone cheered and congratulated him on turning 15. "Go get washed up and we'll get cake, okay?" Rene said as the boy played with his nephew's tiny hands. He nodded, "Yeah!"

Will practically zoomed to the bathroom.

As Byers made his way to the kitchen, he heard his mother, El and sister talking, his mama feeding Lucien. Jon at the phone, called him. "It's for you."

He put the phone to his ear. "Hello?"

"Happy birthday, Will!" Four familiar voices chimed.
"Thanks, guys. It's been a long time."

Dustin snatched the phone from Mike, "Yeah, Mike has been looking at the big ol' binder of your drawings." He laughed but it died down. "We actually look at them, too. We miss you, man."

"Same here. Maybe, we'll see each other soon?"

"Definitely! Say hi to Luci for us?"

"Yeah, bye! See you!" He hung up.

His mother called, "Will! Baby, there's cake for you!"
"Yeah, Mom!" He ran and Rae handed him a big slice of his favorite cake. The family ate and laughed together. Will got a hug from everyone.

He smiled to himself as he held Lucien.
