A young girl watched from afar behind a tree, a man with a mustache and hat placed something in a small box. As he walked away, she walked over to the box. The man, Hopper, heard footsteps approach. He turned to see El stop in her tracks. They held eye contact. Not long after he took her into his care.

They ate the famous triple eggo extravaganza breakfast. Hop spoke about El visiting Mike the other night. He promised her that she'll seem him in person. "Friends don't lie." She chimed. Hop gave her a reply of confusion. "You say 'soon' on day 21. You say 'soon' on day 205. You now say 'soon' on day 326?"

"What is this? You're counting the days now like you're some kind of prisoner?" Hop retorted.

"When is soon?"

"Soon is when it's not dangerous anymore."

"When? On day 500?"

"I don't know."

"On day 600?"

"I don't know."

"Day 700?" El argued harshly. "On day 800?"

"No!"

"I need to see him. Tell me!"

"I said I don't--" He was cut off as El, using her powers, slid the mug and dirty plates to him. "Oh, shit! Shit!" He yelled as he stood. El stood looking at him.

"Friends don't lie!" She exclaimed as she barged to her room, slamming the door close.

"Jesus, have you seen them?" Joyce piped as she rummaged through the pillows of the couch. Jonathan searched his mother's jacket. "We're looking Mom." He said. Rene searched around the living. "We're doing our best."

"Yeah, we're looking." Will searched her bag.

"A-ha! Found 'em." Bob chuckles as he walks into the hall. Rene stood with her brothers. "Hiding under some jeans, sneaky little buggers." He handed them to Joyce. She gave him a peck. "Thank you. Thank you. You're a lifesaver." She beams.

The siblings stare and watch their mother's interactions with Bob. "Can you take Will to school today? I cannot be late again." She asked as she put on her jacket.

"Is he staying over now?" Jonathan started. "Sure thing, Mom." Rene said as she looked at her brother after stopping him. "I can take him, Rene." Bob chimed.

"Will you make sure he gets in okay?" Joyce asked.

"Yeah, of course." Bob says, "What do you say, big guy? Wanna go for a ride in the Bobmobile?" Rene smiled at Will as he looks for consent.

Dustin rode his bike to the town's library. He rushed to get inside.

He set a number of books at the librarian's desk. "Mr. Henderson, you know the rules. Five at a time." She reminded.

"Yup." He set his finger on the books counting, "One, two, three, four and five." The librarian took a card out. "Ten." She said. "You already have five books checked out."

"My mistake." Dustin started, "However, I am on a curiously voyage, and I need my paddles to travel. These books are my paddles."

"Five at a time."

"Are you shitting me?"

"Excuse me?"

"What the hell is.." He looked over and pointed. The librarian turned, Dustin grabbed the books and bolted to the door. "Mr. Henderson!"

"I need my paddles!" He ran out.

"What in the world is your problem?" Rene asked as she gripped the wheel. Jonathan sat beside her. "What?" He shrugged. Rene sighed.
