Cherokee Rose Part 3

Suddenly, two soft hands came to cradle Billy's face. He turned his eyes to who held him. It was Rene.

She spoke. "Hey, hey. Look at me, sweetie, you can fight this. I  know you can... Do you want to know why I fell in love with you?" He blinked as a way of saying yes. "Because you're a fighter... You have always been." Billy listened. "I love you. Billy, I love you. I should have said it a long time ago, and it's been true for a long time..." She cried as she held the young man lovingly. "I'm sorry for not saying it sooner but I love you. So much..." He exhaled in relief.

Those words, he wanted to hear those words for so long, and he was happy once he heard them. Rene looked at him in the eye. "I'm pregnant." Billy looked at her with wide eyes. "I was going to tell you that day, the day we had that fight. And I'm mad. Not at you, me. You're the love of my life and I should have told you. We made this, our love made this.." He gently placed his hand on her belly. Hargrove fell in love even more. "We're going to be okay. We'll be peaceful and we'll go home together with Mom and my brothers, Max..." The blonde gave her a smile as she continued, "A new command I give you: Love one another, as I have loved you. Love one another, that's what he told us, right? I love you." She gave him a loving kiss on the lips.

He closed his eyes, savoring the moment.

Hopper was able to get Grigori's foot off him. Which brought the man to bend over and get hit by the machine. He got a hold of the injured and impaled his finger on Grigori's gunshot wound. Jim blocked the swings. "I'll see you in hell!" Hopper shoved him into the machine. The impact created a deadly boundary.

"We're out!" The basket was empty. "Damn it!" The monster roared. Billy pulled away after another kiss, and stood. He eyed the monster. Rene looked up at him in question. "Billy? Wh-what are you--" She winced when she tried to stand. El took hold of her. Max and Mike reached to where they were. Eleven moved back, taking Rene with her. A tentacle charged for the females. Billy stopped it.

"No!" He yelled. More tentacles came from the creature's body. Rene watched in shock, horror.

Her vision was blurring with tears. A tentacle attached itself onto his side. He screamed in pain. Another one. The creature shrieked. Then more of those things were killing him. "NO!" Rae's scream pleaded as she tried to get out of the girl's grip. "Please. Please, please. Let me help him, El." You can't.

"Close it now! Close it!"

Joyce got a hold of the key. She looked over at Jim. They held eye contact.

The Mind Flayer brought a suffering Billy onto his knees. It roared and Billy screamed. A tentacle impaled his chest. "Billy!" The monster let him go.
