*2 days later*
Laura's leaving for college. Wow, that's a lot to take in. "Laura, that's amazing... I just..wow." I find it difficult to find the right words. Nick is watching the twins for me, while Laura and I hang out at her house. "I know right! I never thought I'd get in." She was going to a community college nearby, I guess it wasn't good enough. "So enough about me. What have you and Nick been up to? Anything special?" She emphasizes the special. "No, not really. We've been busy with the twins and stuff." I look at the painting on her wall. It's bright colors kinda just splattered over a white canvas.
She follows me out to the car and I hesitate before leaving. God, I guess everyone is leaving me now. I drive slowly taking my time. I'm in no rush to get home, even though I wanna see Nick. This may be the only chance I get away from kids in a while. I take the long way home and pull up into the driveway.
As soon as I walk in I'm assaulted by Nick, he grabs me and carries me to the couch. I throw my purse down as he starts kissing me, and I kiss him back. "Whoa, someone missed me!" I pull away for a second and look at him. "The kids are asleep, and I think your stitches are healed enough." No more explanation needed. I wrap my arms around his neck and we kiss more passionately, now that our intentions are clear.
He carries me upstairs and into our room. He shuts the door and sets me down on the bed. I look up at him, quizzically. "Just a second." He grabs his phone off our dresser. I watch him and wait. I hear music start playing and he sets his phone down. He climbs back onto the bed with me and pulls of my shirt, then my pants. His eyes drift down my body before he kisses me again. I pull his shirt off and we eventually undress each other completely. He continues kissing down my neck and on my shoulder, making me moan. I'm gonna miss this when he's gone. I need to stop thinking like that, he won't be gone that long. He'll call me. Everything will be fine. We roll over with me on top of him and my fingers find their way into his hair. "Love you." He whispers in my ear. "Love you too." I mumble, moving my fingers down his back.
