I hear the shower shut off and I climb back into bed. I open my bottle of water and take a drink. Nick walks in with a towel wrapped around his waist and I watch him get his clothes out of the closet. I feel a strong kick and then pain. "You okay?" Nick climbs into bed next to me. "I think so." I say, as the pain subsides. When It's almost all the way gone I feel it come back again, except this time it's just pain without a kick. I immediately look up at Nick, starting to get worried. "Should I take you to the hospital?" He looks concerned. "No. I think I'll be okay." I wince as the pain gets worse. "Jen, you need to go." He gets up. I don't argue as he picks me up and carries me out to the car.

The nurse stands beside my hospital bed as she hooks up my IV. "Can you describe the pain and tell me each time it happens?" She asks. "It's like stabbing and it's every few minutes." I clutch the sheets as I feel another sharp pain. "Contractions, they're pretty close together. The doctor will be here soon." She says, walking out.

A woman walks in, who would appear to be the doctor, and I wait for her to finish setting down her clipboard before I tell her. "My water broke." I wish the nurse had stayed. "You're going into labor, the nurses will be here don't worry." The doctor smiles at me. It's not very comforting.

They give me numbing medicine and I can't feel a thing as they cut open my stomach. Nick seems worried though. I grab his hand and he looks at me. "You can't feel it?" He looks doubtful. "No." I reassure him. "Take her." The doctor hands my baby to the nurse. She wraps her up and she holds her out to Nick. "You wanna hold her?" He takes her and holds her right next to me so I can see. "Here." She hands me the boy. "They're beautiful." I say, amazed at our babies. "He's so much smaller.." I trail off confused. "Yeah, when we clean them we can weigh them to find out exactly how much but he's definitely smaller than her. So far it doesn't seem to be affecting his health so I wouldn't be too concerned." The nurse tells me. I look down at him and smile at him. "Have you decided on names?" She asks. "Collin and Alison." I look at them. She takes Ali and another nurse takes Collin. "Did you decide on middle names too?" Nick asks, as they leave. They'll be back soon with the birth certificates. "I thought you might like to pick." I look up at him.
