While taking Star to LA at such a young age when Jasmine was 3 months pregnant with their second baby was not what the couple expected, they were still excited to bring her to a new place. Jasmine's mom had offered to come with them to help out with Star, meaning she got to spend more time doing things she liked instead of going to the studio nearly every day.

However, the stress of being in a new place and a different time zone didn't always have a positive effect on a 3 year old.

Anthony was recording an idea, when he noticed Jasmine's phone ringing. He continued singing as she answered it, but stopped when a concerned expression filled her face.

"Shit, okay, I'll let him know," she mumbled, looking up and catching his eye.

"What's goin' on?" he asked once she hung up.

"Star just got sick and my mom is pretty sure she has a fever. She said Star wants me to come home," Jasmine told him.

"Do you want me to come with you?" he said, almost ready to pack up and leave.

"No not yet, I'll call you if I need you though," she responded.

"Alright, I'll try to get out of here early," he told her, leaving the recording room and pressing a quick kiss to her lips.

Star was in Kim's arms when Jasmine got back to their temporary home and immediately reached out for her when Jasmine walked in the door.

"Hey sweet girl, what's wrong?" Jasmine asked, snuggling her close.

"Y-yucky," she whimpered and that's when Jasmine noticed tears running down her face.

"Oh honey," Jasmine mumbled, brushing her fingers through her hair and kissing the top of her head.

"3 year olds can have tylenol, right?" Jasmine asked her mom.

"Yeah, I'm gonna run out and get some stuff for her," her mom responded.

"Thank you Mama," Jasmine said, feeling relieved.

"Okay honey, we're gonna get you a bath to help you feel better," Jasmine told Star once her mom had left.

"Mama, I don't—" she cried, gripping into her tshirt.

"I know sweet girl, I'm gonna take care of you though, we can snuggle and rest all day," Jasmine reassured her, kissing the top of her head.

She carried her upstairs, holding her for a little longer before she was ready to take a bath.

"So what happened sweetie?" Jasmine asked, as she ran water through her curls.

"My tummy got yucky like y-you in th' mornin'" Star told her.

"Oh baby, I'm sorry, Daddy an' I are gonna make sure you feel better soon," she said.

"Daddy not here?" she asked, looking up at her with big eyes.

"He'll be home soon, he's just gonna be at the studio for a bit longer," Jasmine said.

"Okay," she murmured, closing her eyes.

Jasmine got Star in her pajamas once she was done with her bath, taking her downstairs and laying down on the couch.

She pulled a thin blanket over the two of them, letting her rest. Even though she felt upset having to wake her up a few minutes later when her mom got home with the medicine, she knew it would make this less stressful.

"Hey sweetie, Grandma's got something that's gonna help you feel better," Jasmine said, rubbing her back.

"I don't wanna," Star murmured, holding Jasmine tightly.

Jasmine smiled, picking her up and getting a glass of water while her mom measured out the correct amount of medicine.

"I got the cherry flavor, I hope she likes that," Kim said.

"Yeah, I think that's the best one out of all the flavors," Jasmine said, brushing her thumb over Star's back.

"Don't want," Star cried, pushing the medicine away when it was offered to her.

"Baby, this is gonna help you feel better," Jasmine told her, kissing the top of her head. "And it tastes like cherries."

"Like cherries," she murmured, opening her eyes.

The two of them smiled and Star reluctantly drank the medicine, making a face at the new taste. She quickly drank the water after the medicine, wanting to get the taste out of her mouth.

"You wanna take a nap now, sweetheart?" Jasmine asked, noticing her eyes start to shut again.

She murmured something, which Jasmine took as a yes. Jasmine went to lay down when she heard the door open and Anthony came in.

"Hey, hey, how's she doing?" he asked, immediately noticing the two of them.

"Not too good, although I gave her a bath and my mom got her some medicine, so hopefully that helps," she told him. "She's ready for a nap now."

"Here, lemme take her," he said, lifting her into his arms and calming her when she whined.

"You're okay little one, I got you," he mumbled, kissing the top of her head.

"Daddy?" she asked quietly, halfway opening her eyes.

"Yeah, I'm here, I ain't gonna leave again until tomorrow morning," he told her, rubbing her back.

He took Jasmine's hand and said, "I know you're tired too and so am I, so let's rest."

She smiled and the three of them laid down together. Star was curled up on Anthony's chest and Jasmine was tucked between Anthony and the couch.

Anthony pulled the thin blanket over them and Jasmine brushed her now damp curls back, kissing her forehead. To them, work would never been put in front of their daughter. She would always be their first priority.
