Jasmine swayed back and forth, gently rubbing Brooklyn's back. She carefully laid her in the crib, making sure she stayed asleep. Brooklyn shifted slightly and snuggled up with her blanket. Jasmine sighed, going downstairs to where Anthony was.
"Is Star asleep?" she asked.
"Yeah, she went down pretty easily," he responded.
Jasmine went over to him and wrapped her arms around him, burying her face in his chest.
"It's so quiet with them asleep," she mumbled.
"That's true," he said, looking down at her. "You okay?"
"I'm so tired," she told him. "I love them, but they wear me out. It's just been harder since we brought Brook home."
"You wanna take a nap sweetheart?" he asked.
"Yes please," she responded. They laid down on the couch and Jasmine snuggled up to him, tucking her head into his neck.
"Don't worry, I'll get the girls if they wake up," he told her, kissing her forehead.
Jasmine smiled and tilted her head up, pressing sleepy kisses to his lips. "Thank you," she murmured. "I love you."
"I love you too baby girl," he responded, leaning his cheek against her head.
She closed her eyes and almost immediately relaxed in his arms. He continued rubbing her back until he knew that she was fully asleep. Once he knew, he shut his eyes and fell asleep quickly as well.
They were both woken up by Brooklyn crying and Jasmine slowly pushed herself up.
"Hey hey hey, I'll get her and come back downstairs," Anthony said. "You can rest for a little bit longer."
Anthony went up into their room and picked her up. He sat down in the rocking chair and calmed her back down, waiting until she was fast asleep again. He went back downstairs and Jasmine smiled at him.
"You're magic," she said, letting him sit back on the couch. She tucked herself between him and the couch and Anthony laid Brooklyn on his chest. Jasmine rested her hand on Brooklyn's back, closing her eyes again.
"Thank you for keeping the quiet," she mumbled.
Anthony chuckled, kissing the top of her head. "I try too," he responded.
oof it's been a while since i updated sorry i started summer camp last week and i start summer school tomorrow which means updates will probably be less frequent and lack of ideas too oops here comes writers block okay byeeee
