Jasmine gently brushed her thumb over Star's back, smiling for the millionth time that early morning.

"I love her so much," she whispered.

"Yeah..." Anthony responded, rubbing circles on her arm.

The new family was curled up together in Jasmine's hospital bed, trying to take in the events of the past few hours.

Star was laying on her stomach on Jasmine's chest, fast asleep. Jasmine had her hands resting on Star's back, still not wanting to let her go. Anthony was laying on his side and had his arm around Jasmine, already seeming protective of his wife and newborn daughter.

"Did you send our parents a picture?" She asked, tilting her head to face him.

"Yeah, I also sent visitor hours and told them to text us when they want to meet her," he told her. "No response yet."

"Well, seeing as it's 4 am, I wasn't expecting anything," he said, laughing.

He started to continue, but they were interrupted with the door opening and another couple with a newborn entered.

"We ran out of rooms, so this is James and Ashley," the doctor said.

The two of them softly said their hellos but were a little shocked when the couple just stared at them and said nothing.

"Well that was a cold greeting," Anthony whispered to Jasmine.

She giggled softly, trying not to be heard by the couple.

"I'll close this to let you guys get some sleep," the doctor said, pulling the curtain to separate the room and leaving.

"Are you ready to sleep?" Anthony asked.

"I don't know," Jasmine responded. "I still feel so hyped up from everything, but I'm also exhausted."

"You should sleep baby girl," Anthony told her. "You both have had a very long day. Been through a lot this morning."

"Mhm," Jasmine mumbled.

They both smiled when Star shifted on Jasmine's chest, softly cooing.

"Oh, looks like someone's getting restless," Jasmine giggled.

They heard someone clear their throat on the other side of the curtain and made a face at each other. They smiled at each other and Jasmine whispered, "I think we should really go to bed."

Anthony hesitated for a moment before getting up and going over to the hospital bag.

"I actually got something for her..." he trailed off, taking out a small wrapped box.

"Ant, that's so sweet," she said. He handed her the box and she adjusted Star so she could open the present.

When Jasmine saw what was inside, she felt tears well up and her heart melted. It was a small, soft blanket with little patterns on it.

"Oh baby..." she whispered.

Anthony smiled and he told her, "I didn't want to do anything when I got it since we didn't have a name picked out, but I was thinking we could put hers in the corner somehow."

"I love you so much, baby," she said, laughing quietly as she wiped away her tears.

Anthony smiled even bigger and said, "Here let me take her. I can swaddle her in this blanket instead of the hospital one."

Jasmine handed Star and the blanket to him and he laid her in the bassinet, taking the hospital blanket off. She was fast asleep so luckily he didn't have to deal with her squirming around.

He handed her back to Jasmine once she was swaddled in the soft blanket and she kissed Star's forehead, mumbling, "Sleep well sweetheart. We love you."

Anthony took her from Jasmine and swayed back and forth with her for a few seconds before kissing her forehead and laying her in the bassinet.

Anthony got back in bed with her, wrapping his arm around her again. She kissed him a few times, saying, "Thank you for everything today."

"I should really be thanking you Jazzy," he mumbled. "You're so damn strong. You brought our little girl into the world this morning. We're a family now."

"I love you so much," she whispered. "Forever and a day."

"Forever and a day," he responded.

Anthony kissed her a few more times before they closed their eyes and promptly fell asleep.

They were both woken up in the morning by a soft knock and the couple blearily opened their eyes. They both fell back against the pillow when they realized it was a visitor for the other couple but Jasmine opened her eyes again when she heard Star starting to whimper.

"Ant, Ant can you get her?" she mumbled, tapping his arm. He slowly got up, picking her up and handing her to Jasmine.

"Hey sweetheart," she whispered softly, rubbing her back. "Did you sleep well?"

"Bunch of texts from our parents asking when they can come," Anthony said, smiling at his phone.

"Tell them they can come whenever cause I don't think we'll be falling asleep anytime soon," Jasmine told him, looking down at Star. "Yeah, you're gonna keep us busy from now on, aren't you?"

Star cooed, reaching up for Jasmine. She laughed softly and kissed Star's fingers, cuddling her close.

Anthony sat down on the bed, stroking Jasmine's hair back and resting his hand on her shoulder. She smiled and he leaned down, kissing her a few times.

"You okay?" she asked quietly, giggling.

"Yeah, I just can't believe that she's still here and we have a daughter now and we're a family," he responded.

Jasmine smiled and asked, "You wanna hold her?"

He nodded and Jasmine transferred her into his arms.

"Hey sweetheart," he said, brushing him thumb over her cheek. Her eyes opened wider when she heard his voice and she looked straight up at him. She wrapped her tiny hand around his finger, pulling it down to her.

Jasmine took her phone out to capture this sweet moment and smiled when he didn't even notice her, completely absorbed in this interaction with his daughter.

"Hey Ant," Jasmine said, putting her phone away.

"Yeah?" he asked, looking up.

"I love you two," she told him. The simple phrase made him smile and he got into the bed next to her. She tucked herself into his side, lacing her fingers with his free hand.

"I love you two also," he said, kissing her forehead.

"We're a little family now," she whispered, brushing her thumb over Star's cheek.

"Mhm," he mumbled. "Little family of three, five if you count the dogs."

"We don't have to worry about them right now," he responded. "Just the three of us right now."

Jasmine nodded, yawning and tucking herself closer to him.

"You tired baby girl?" he asked. "You can sleep if you want to, I've got her."

"Okay," she mumbled. "But wake me up when someone gets here."

"Alright," he said, rubbing her arm. "Sleep well Jas."

"Mhm," she said. "Love you."

Anthony chuckled, ignoring the fact that it was the second time she had said it to him in the past 5 minutes. "Love you too," he told her.
