Chapter 15

 I pulled Luke in between my legs and took one good look at his face. Gosh did he look terrible. I reached behind me to grab the damp washcloth. I took it and help Luke's chin up with two fingers before starting to dab his face gently with it.

“So, are you going to tell me who did this to you yet.” I asked, only earning a small shake of his head meaning no. Who did this to him! Because whoever it was must have told him to keep quiet. 

“You know Luke, you better get to talking. You know I could just call your Mom, or my Mom. I'm pretty sure she would love to see you in the state that your in right now.” I said, threatening him with the one thing that's probably the scariest for him.

“You wouldn’t.” He said with a frown.

“Are you testing me Hemmings?” I said while picking up my cell phone. “Let me just dial up Liz right now, Ive got a lot to tell her about.”

“Oh, like your really going to do this?” He said while raising one of his eyebrows. I threatened Luke like this a lot, because well, Liz was scary when she's mad. Id never actually called her before, but there s a first time for everything. Because right now I needed answers. So I went to my contacts and hit the one labeled “Mama Hemmings”.       

“Alrighty then Luke, I guess you've chosen to do this the hard way.” I said when the phone started ringing. I was hoping Luke would break before she picked up the phone. “Its ringing” I said with a smirk.

“I bet it is.” Luke said, still not believing that I would actually put her on the phone.

“Its going on speaker.” I replied, hitting the button before hearing the one and only Liz pick up from the other end on the phone.

“Hi Julie, its Liz!” She said, cheerily, but seemed a little confused.

“Oh hi Liz, I just wanted to-“ I started to say, but Luke pulled the phone out of my hand before I could say more and hit the mute button.

“Okay, okay, you got me J. Ill tell you, you just cant let her know what happened. Id never be let out of the house ever again!” He whisper yelled at me, while grabbing my shoulders to make sure that I fully understood the consequences he may have for this.

“Alright Lukey, good choice. Ill just tell her that your here then,” I said while taking the phone from his hands and clicking the unmet switch.

“Sorry Liz, you know my cell service isn't too good in the house.” I lied. “I just wanted to tell you that Luke sowed up here and passed out on the couch. Sorry!” 

“Ok, that's alright sweetie! Just tell him to come home once he wakes up. Thanks Julie!” She said before hanging up.

“Okay, your a very lucky boy Luke.” I said before picking up my washcloth one again and starting to dab his face. “So start explaining.”

“Well its kinda a crazy story J.” He said as I pushed him closer to me, so I could get a better look at his face. “Like Benny was pretty pissed about everything that's happened this week, so he was all like, ‘Oh Luke, you better go talk to those guys that have been bothering Julie’ and I was like ‘what no, they'll kill me.’ So that went on for a while.”

“So basically what your trying to tell me here is that Benny made you go talk to Calum’s group,and they beat you up.” I said, finally understanding what he was hinting at.

“Well, that's not exactly how it went Julie. Like I kinda wanted to go talk to them, Benny just gave me that little extra push to get me to go.” He said to me, but I could tell he was lying. Luke's the kind of guy that could never keep a straight face while lying, and by the way his eyes were avoiding my own and the constant wiggling of his eyebrows, there was no hiding it.

“Really Luke? Because your eyebrows are telling more.” I said while pulling the washcloth up to Luke's lip, causing him to wince. “Are yo sure that Benny’s little ‘extra push’ didn't include another punch to the stomach?” 

“Well, yea it did Julie. But  he's not the one that beat me up like this. That was Calum.” He said with a pout. Well not really a pout because of how bad his lip was. It was more of a frown.

“I'm going to kill them.”

The chaoters keep getting shorter :( but i update more often so I think it balences itself out.
