Sakura's POV

"Where are we going?"

The designated driver who was beside me chuckles. "You're too excited!"

"I'm curious." I say with a pout.

Much to my surprise, she pats my shoulder and pinches my cheek that was close to her reach. "We'll get there soon, don't worry."

I nod, averting my gaze to my right. There, I see the sky being painted with the colors of orange, blue, and pink as dusk falls. It was almost nighttime, and Chaeyeon and I had just finished picking up a bunch of snacks and drinks. She did ask me out for a movie date, but I don't really know where exactly are we going.

"Yayyy, we're near." She suddenly chirps in excitement. I glance at her, then around our surroundings.

We're literally in the middle of nowhere...?

"Are you sure we're not lost or something?"

"What makes you say that?"

"Nothing." I shortly answer, looking around in uncertainty. Only trees were visible at this point so I'm not sure where we're heading to. At all.

She stifles a laugh. "Relax, okay? We're getting there, I promise."

We pass by what seems like a tollgate so she had to roll her window down to get acknowledged by the toll lady. 

"Two tickets please." Chaeyeon courteously tells her while holding up two fingers. Since she was wearing a mask, her statement came out as a muffled sound. Nonetheless, the lady hears her well and she smiles with her eyes right before handing her two small pieces of paper.

Okay so maybe this wasn't a tollgate. Well, I'm not sure.

After thanking her, Chaeyeon continues to drive while humming one of her favorite songs. I can't help but chuckle at how cute she was. Also, I was growing more and more excited about how this night will go. And curious too. 

A minute or so passes by and we've finally parked her car in an empty parking lot. My eyes wander around as it was getting really dark right now. 

"There's no killer here or anything, right?" I question her out of genuine curiosity.

"You watch way too many movies, Saku-chan." She responds with a chuckle. "But um, we still have to wait until 6:30."

Eh?

"What do you mean?"

Instead of answering my question, she holds her hand up to dismiss the matter, her eyes were focused on her cellphone while checking the time.

"57.... 58... 59... and,"

Suddenly, the entire place lights up - and I mean literally. The fairy lights that were dangling from pole to pole around the parking lot brighten up and a huge projector screen in front of us starts working. I turn to face her, mouth agape with amazement.

"How... how did you find this place?" I choke out in disbelief. "It looks beautiful, Chaeyeon-ah."

The bashful one scratches her nape as I see her cheeks turn red. "I was actually planning to take you out to the theaters but I'm not sure if there were ones that were open 'cause of, you know, the pandemic..."

"Mmhmm?"

"And I certainly didn't want to have that movie date at the dorm since the girls would probably get in the way and--"

"And you don't want them to?" I guess, attempting to finish her sentence for her.

"Well um.. yeah, I mean, I consider this our first date and I want it to be special and..." she continuously blabbers, making me chuckle a bit. "Why are you laughing at me?"
