Chaeyeon's POV

Two months had passed since that Mnet scandal surfaces throughout the media, and unfortunately, we were advised by our agency to go on an unexpected hiatus while the issue gets resolved.

It's sad to know that we wouldn't be pushing through with the comeback that we had prepared for so long.

But, it is what it is though. I'll just keep hoping that everything would indeed be okay, just like what I've been repeatedly telling the other members to lift their spirits. 

Throughout our break, we've been doing whatever we can to keep ourselves busy since we didn't want to dwell too much on the situation. Simply thinking about it triggers the girls and makes them emotional right away.

In my case, I really try my best to look at the bright side. Like what I'd told Saku-chan before, I need to be strong for the whole team.  

The dorm feels quite empty since the J-line has been travelling back and forth to Korea and Japan. Hitomi had gone to her home last week, while Sakura and Nako just left yesterday and since I'm not going to have a roommate for a short while, I'm staying at the bigger room to keep Wonyo and Yuri company 'cause they wouldn't stop complaining about how scary it is in their room at night.

Tsk, those maknaes.

And so here I am, lying down on Sakura's bed as I've got nothing to do. I think Wonyoung and Yuri went out somewhere with Yena, but I was too lazy to join them. I've finished cleaning the house and fixing the younger ones' mess, so I just decided to loaf around.

My phone starts ringing beside me and I was surprised to see this person as my caller.

'Saku-chan ❤ is calling you...'

Just as I was about to click 'Answer', the call ends, making me wonder what that was about.

To: Saku-chan ❤
'Are u ok? Was going to answer your call but you ended it, i think. Take care~'

When I was satisfied with the content of my message, I press 'send' right away before I change my mind.

Few seconds after my message was sent, my phone rings for the second time so I answer it almost immediately without bothering to look at the Caller ID.

"CHAEYEONIE!!"

I move my phone away from my ear.

Aish Choi Yena!!

"Yena-ya, too loud!!" I whine, walking to the living room to get better reception.

"Sorry sorry," she says with a laugh. "We'll be out a bit late, do you want anything?"

"Ya, I just want you three to come home safely later, got it?"

"Aw, you're such a sweetheart," she coos. "And because you're sweet to us today, we will give you a prize. Is ice cream okay?"

"Anything's fine."

"Okay! We'll see you later."

"Take care, please."

"Yes yes don't worry." Then I end the call.

I heave a sigh while playing with the hems of the pillow placed on my lap.

I really don't have anything to do right now. Should I just go to sleep...?

I don't think I should though. I'll wait until the girls come home so I know that they've arrived safely, and by then, I would feel at ease.

I heave a deep sigh and rest my head back, staring at the ceiling out of boredom. I was planning to get my bluetooth speaker from the room I share with Tomi, when a small book resting on the coffee table catches my attention.

I don't remember having this around...

Out of curiosity, I pick it up to see whom it belongs to.

It's definitely one of the J-line's considering the many mistakes and erasures on the very first page. I lightly chuckle, finding it extremely adorable.

Day 1
'Hello~ I decided to buy a journal... or a diary, I'm not sure what this is called but the only reason I did was because I want to write down what I feel. But right now, I'm feeling really sleepy so I guess I'll officially start writing about my thoughts tomorrow kekeke good night~'

Cute.

My first guess is that it may be Hiichan's, since I don't think Kkura or Nako would actually consider having a journal, or a diary. Those two are very open about their thoughts, while Hiichan tends to stay quiet at times.

I flip to the next page so that I can further analyze who the real owner is.

Day 2
'Hello~ I'm so in the mood to write right now because I'm having a bit of a problematic situation so let's put it this way:

A few days ago, I read a book about a boy who's in love with his best friend... who is also a boy. I mean, that's really hard, right? The main character's name is Akira and he's from Japan, then he moves to Korea where he meets Jae, who then becomes his best friend.

At first, they were just like the usual buddies you see around.

But, things changed when their other friends start noticing something else. They often get teased by the whole gang but Akira would always ridicule them. They were very inseparable, and Jae helped Akira adjust and adapt to the culture of Korea. He was very patient and caring towards the Japanese that other people would see it as romantic advancements.

One day, they both hang out at Jae's place. That's when Akira starts to see his friend in a different perspective.

He sees how driven Jae was to his passion for singing, how caring he was and how he's always willing to put others first before himself.

To him, Jae is a beautiful human being, both inside and out, but he never realizes it.

Little by little, he suddenly finds himself falling for his dear best friend, but he's so scared to admit it to himself.

That's what I've read so far! I'll continue writing after I finish reading the next chapters. Good night~'

I went to my room and placed the diary on the table to keep it safe until Hiichan comes back from Japan when all of a sudden, my phone vibrates inside my hoodie's pocket.
