Warning: Alright y'all, this part will be LONG. As you already know, the story is fast paced so there is a lot of time skipping {I'm the kind that gets too excited to draw somethings out :)} But hopefully you'll like it :) Enjoy!

A few weeks later I remember walking into my office and almost dropping my things as I saw flowers sitting on my desk. I was shocked and surprised. A smile came over my face as I put my things down in a chair and walked over. They were Iris's, my favorite flower. I sniffed them and that's when I spied the card in it. Curious I took the card out and opened it. I read it's message.

"Hello beautiful, I hope you are having a wonderful morning. If you don't mind, I would like you to meet me out front of your building. I'll be there, no rush on your behalf."

It was not signed and that only piqued my interest more. I checked myself in the mirror and made sure I was cute. My first patient just so happened to be Christopher. And he almost always ended up being on time. I checked my watch and I had thirty minutes, so I was good. I got myself together and started walking back from the place that I had just came from. Going back down the elevator I made sure my steps were confident and that I looked good doing it. When I reached outside, I looked around and saw Christopher with more flowers in his hand. No...it couldn't be. He perked up when he saw me and started walking towards me.

"Morning Doctor Coleman."

"Hey Christopher, how are you?" I asked

"I'm well. These are for you." He said, passing me the single flower in his hand

They were iris's as well.

"Your favorite flower right?" He asked me

I looked up at him and saw his smile.

"Yes, they are my favorite flower." I smiled

"I hope you like the ones in your office."

"Wait, those were from you too?" I asked him

"Yes. I uh... wanted to ask you out."

He looked shy and a little nervous while asking it.

"Christopher I uh... that might not be a good idea." I said

"You said it yourself that I should go for it."

"Yeah, I did. But I had no idea that I was the girl you was talking about. You're my patient and things like this are frowned upon."

"What's the difference Doc? We're two consenting adults. What's the harm? Come on, just one date. If it sucks I promise I'll never come to your office again."

"I just don't want to make things awkward if things go wrong."

"They won't Doc, I swear. Just give me a chance."

I bit my lip in nervousness and muddled over my decision. Although the look in his eyes really didn't make it any easier. I didn't want to hurt his feelings, so I knew what I would do.

"Okay Christopher. If I say yes, When and where are we going?"

"Uh, Saturday night? We can go out to eat I'll come pick you up." He asked in muted excitement

"Alright Chris. One date and that's it. Now if you'll follow me we can go get started on our appointment shall we?" I asked him

He folded his arm and gestured towards me to put it in his crook. I slipped my arm in and started walking back into the building with him. We talked and laughed on the elevator ride up and then once we got into my office, talked for the next hour. When it was over, he passed me a piece of paper and I took it.

"What's this?"

"My number. Make sure you save my number into your phone." He smiled

"Alright. See you tomorrow tonight."

He left my office and I looked over at the two bouquet's of Iris's on my desk with a smile. Dating Christopher wouldn't kill me, and besides, it was just one date. I got up to tidy up a bit and heard a knock on my office door.

"Come in."

I didn't look behind me to see who had come in. It wasn't a patient because I wasn't booked for another fifty minutes, so it must have been one of the other doctors.

"I can come back if you're busy."

That voice made me stop in my tracks and straighten up. It was Leo. If you hadn't noticed, me and him were not talking. Well.... at least not as much as we used to, not after his little revelation. I was still a little hurt by what he said that night, but hey, it was my own fault. I shouldn't have kissed him back, should have never entertained the idea of us. I turned to face him and asked what he wanted.

"Yes Leo how can I help you?" I asked him, no emotion showing on my face.

"I haven't seen you all week, usually you leave before I do. How have you been?" He asked softly

"Fine." I replied, grabbing a book off of my book case and walking towards my desk.

"You don't sound fine."

I sat in my leather chair, crossing my legs and smoothed out my skirt.

"Oh, but I am."

I looked down as I said that statement and pretended to be engrossed in a book I was reading, when in reality I prayed to God he would just go away and attend to one of the many women throwing themselves at him. I had no time to be pitted by him.

"Well... I- that's great I guess." He said

"Mhm." I said dismissively

"Nice flowers. Who got them for you?"

 "One of my patients."

I snuck a glance at him, and it didn't look like he was leaving anytime soon.

"Wow, they got you your favorite flower huh? They must like you."

He remembered my favorite flower?

"'Least someone does." I mumbled under my breath

He must have heard it because he was quiet.

"Look Ellie..I-"

There was yet another knock at the door.

"Come in." I called

I saw one of my patients enter and breathed out a sigh of relief. Saved by the bell.

"Ah Linda, right on time." I smiled.

Leo looked at me and I cut him a look that told him to get out. I walked over to Linda and shook hands with her.

"Hi Doctor Coleman. Get your ears ready I have so much to talk about." Linda commented

"As always." I teased

She sat down in on of my recliners and propped her feet up. I sat on the couch across from her. I heard the door click shut as Leo left out of it.
