-I'm trying to balance the amount of angst I put in this one-shot book lol

-do you guys count anxiety as angst? I mean i don't know but this is mostly fluff so...

Karl and Sapnap were on their way to Dream's 21st birthday party. It was around 6 pm in the afternoon and the two had just told the public about their relationship.

Karl had always had anxiety, actually, he had terrible anxiety and used horrible coping mechanisms to help. He would pick the skin off his knuckles till they would bleed and sapnap had to bandage them up. Karl was unable to bite his nails anymore due to the fact the Sap had taken him to get short acrylics so that he wouldn't do it.

He had excessive and intrusive worrying that would disrupt his daily functioning. He hated it. He hated always being scared and anxious all the time. Having full-on panic attacks on the littlest things like if someone tried to shake his hand or if he heard a noise in his house that he swore someone was literally about to murder him, even though he knew for a fact the Sapnap double bolted the lock.

but, Sap had always found a way to make it better. To comfort Karl when needed and calm him down during his panic attacks.

Sap made Karl feel safe.

They were in the car driving to dreams house that he shared with his fiance George. Karl's anxiety was even worse than ever since they had just put out on Twitter the katlnap was real.

The fans were ecstatic about it and they had gotten tons of support. Of course, there were hate comments, there were always people that just wanted others to be unhappy, that drive off negative attention. But sapnap had taken Karls phone for the day so he wouldn't get overwhelmed.

They were pulling up to dreams house and Karl was shaking. His leg bouncing up and down and picking at his bandages on his hands. Sapnap reached one of his hands from the steering wheel and separated Karl's hands softly.

"No," sapnap said softly rubbing Karls leg to get him to calm down.

Karl eased into the touch, anxiety still oozing out of him by the second, "Nick, do I have to go? Can I stay in the car please?" Karl tried to plead.

Sapnap sighed as he turned off the car and turned to Karl who had tears in his eyes, "baby, it's okay, calm down. You already know who's going to be there and I won't leave your side okay? And remember how we went over conversation starters and responses to say if you get overwhelmed? It'll be okay baby I promise" sapnap placed a kiss on the other's forehead.

"What if they judge us?" Karl let a teardrop.

"Karl, we're literally going to dreams house with his fiance George who is a man. They are literally the embodiment of acceptance. But if you really don't want to say we will leave okay? Let's just try it out." sapnap wiped Karl's tear off his cheek with his thumb.

"Okay- okay let's go" Karl opened the car door and met sap on the other side. They interlocked fingers. Sapnap squeezed Karl's hand to assure him it would be alright.

They walked up to the door and rang the doorbell, moments later they were greeted by a familiar face, "hi guys!"

"Hey George!" sapnap said with a smile. he let go of Karl's hand for a second to give George a short hug.

after saying hello they walked into the house to see basically the whole dream smp here plus a few others.

"where's dream?" sap so questioned sitting on the couch with George and Karl.

"oh, he's in the kitchen playing beer pong with Wilbur, he turns 21 and doesn't know how to act" George laughed.

"Can I go play?" sap so turned to ask Karl since yes he was technically underage, having older friends benefited him.

"sure but behave!" Karl gave sap a quick kiss on the cheek before he ran away to the kitchen.

Karl was still anxious about being at the party and sap leaving him alone just made it worse. but George was one of his best friends so his anxiety wasn't that bad around him.

"Hey George, can I borrow your phone for a second?" Karl asked

"sure," George pulled out his phone handing it to the other, "what happened to yours?"

"oh, nick took it from me so I didn't work myself up over the tweet but I really want to check Twitter,"

Karl logged into his Twitter quickly, even though it was probably better for his mental health to not check it, curiosity took over him.

He opened his latest tweet and read all the responses:

The number of likes alone scared Karl, it had been his most like tweet. It was getting really scary as he read the comments. They were actually really positive, but the more he scrolled down the worst they got.

Karl didn't know it but he had dropped the phone in his hand and was shaking uncontrollably.

"Karl? Karl are you okay?" a voice rang out. Karl didn't even know who it was though.

an intense wave of fear came over Karl. His heart was pounding out of his chest, his breath had soon left his mouth faster than he could obtain it. He felt like he was dying. He couldn't even move. His eyes watered as his vision went blurry. He could not longer hear anything anymore.

He hunched over himself as he held his hands in his hair. All this just because of a couple of hate comments? Karl thought to himself.

Karl felt a familiar hand on his shoulder, "hey darling, it's just me" sapnap said in a calm voice.

Karl was still shaking but recognized saps voice. Sapnap picked Karl up and placed him on his lap trying to calm Karl down with sweet words and back rubs.

Sapnap was used to his lover having panic attacks, so he knew how to calm the panicky boy.

After a couple of minutes Karl's breathing evened out, he looked up at sapnap who gave him a smile, "hey love, do you want to go home now?'

All Karl could do was nod as sapnap picked up the distressed boy, letting karl wrap his legs around his midsection.

He gave a knowing look to George who was still sitting next to them on the couch who went to get sapnap. George nodded and gave a smile.

Sapnap carried Karl to the car and gently put him in the seat, buckling his seatbelt. He went to the other side and got in the car starting it up. He placed his hand on Karls thigh rubbing it back and forth for the car ride home.

When they got home they were both exhausted. Sap picked out of his oversized hoodie for Karl. They changed and got into bed together.

"Im sorry" Karl whispered softly. He felt guilty for ruining saps time at the party.

"Karl, it's okay, you know im never mad at you" he gave Karl a kiss on the forehead.

"Yeah but I constantly ruin your plans all because im sacred and I know you really wanted to go to the party and-" Karl was cut off by a pair of smooth lips kissing his own. Every time the younger kissed him was just as good or even better than the time before. They could never get enough of each other.

They pulled away from each other softly, "I love you, Karl Jacobs"

"I love you too Nick Jacobs" Karl giggled placing another kiss on his lovers' lips then snuggling into saps chest.

"One day..." sapnap whispered

"Yeah, one day"

-but anyways im working on my next book but I want to write like 5 chapters before I post it so I don't get too overwhelmed
