The Start of A War

"Oh my god, (Y/N)!" A yell echoed through the room. Without any hesitation, Loki quickly ran to the back of the stage to find her band mates crowed around something and one other one on the phone most likely calling the ambulance. Once seeing him, they all moved to reveal her body on the floor, not moving and covered in blood and bruises. He felt for a pulse and it was faint, just like the thoughts of what to say at that moment. Why did he care so much about this human? He wasn't really fond of them, but after a quick second he realized the reason. Because she actually got to know him a bit, stood by him, matched him in a sense, and never settled for just one side of the story. With this, he tried healing her with all his might, but with his power limited so much he couldn't completely heal her. Thor started to pull him off as paramedics rushed in to take Y/N away.

The ambulance drove off and the Avengers went back inside to question the rest of the band, and left Loki lingering behind to worry about her state of being. "Do you know what happened during everything?" Cap asked one of the band mates. She sighed deeply, trying to search for the right words, "When we all ran off the stage, some people grabbed us and dragged us to the back. That's when that person came in, and stared at (Y/N) before beating the ever loving shit out of her. (Y/N) tried to fight back and defend herself, but she got outnumbered and...she ended up like that."  "Did you at least see any of their faces?" They all shook their heads, describing all of them has shadows with no features.

There was barely anything there to help them, so the only they could do was try the cameras back at the tower. "All footage from the backstage area and entrance has been corrupted, sir. Other then those two, the video shows nothing of any sorts useful to you," Jarvis pointed out. Tony sighed as he took another long drink, "So they've thought of everything?" Natasha asked with Tony nodding. "Basically," He walked over to the couch, sitting down. "No leads, no hints, and our only witness is most likely in a coma from her injuries. Put it together with them no having the scepter, and it has 'Loki cult member' written all over it," Bruce states. This snapped Loki out of his process of tuning everyone out, looking confused. Natasha looked over, "Here on Earth, whenever there's a person with a extreme idea ending with countless deaths in some twisted way of 'peace', no matter what happens they always have some kind of following behind them."  "Sometimes bigger then even they expected sometimes. With those people you don't have to brainwash them yourself, they did that job for you," Clint added on.

Thor interjected, "This person wants to kill our mother, how is that following in my brother's plan to take over Midgard?"  "You can go and ask them yourself, Point Break. It's not like we have an answer right now," Tony rolled his eyes. Fury walked in unexpectedly, "You're right, but we do have our witness awake and ready to answer some questions" They all looked at him. It seems that it didn't take much for (Y/N) to wake up from her the mess that was a few hours ago, which was kind of surprising to say the least. One drive to the hospital later, and they could see (Y/N) through a window as she simply just sat there and watched some TV. Loki walked in first, and once he did she looked over and smiled at him, "Hello again, prince of Asgard"  "You really do match the human race perfectly," He held onto a sad smile for her, looking upon her many bandages and scars. "Having some form of common sense, yet failing to use them in these times," He joked with her chuckling. The rest of the group, plus Fury, didn't say anything as he sat next to her.

"So horns finally got a girlfriend? This is one of his illusions, right?" Tony mocked him. Fury brushed past it, and got to the point with the door closed behind everyone. He stated, "Can you tell us anything you can remember about the attack? Faces? Any kind of description? Events no one knows about?" (Y/N) thought about it for a moment. "All I can remember," she started to explain. "Is that I was pulled into one of the dressing rooms with my band, and some person dressed in black entered through the wall like a ghost. I can't remember what they said, but they...they had the scepter in their hand." The team listened carefully. "I guess she tried to kill me or something, because she put it up to my chest and nothing happened," That's when the questioned happened.

"It didn't mind control you?" Clint looked shocked. (Y/N) shook her head, looking confused. "Brother....?" Thor questioned and Loki responded. "I have no idea why it didn't effect her. She doesn't have anything blocking her heart...do you, Lady (Y/N)?" Once again, she shook her head. "Other then whatever it was suppose to do, why do it to me? If it was suppose to brain wash me, why choose me?" (Y/N) asked. Banner agreed with her as well as Natasha, but Steve caught something else. "What is that on your arm?" He asked. She looked at her right arm to find some sort of weird symbols, shrugging and looking quite afraid.

"Target..." Loki quietly said to himself. Thor took a look at it, "That is Old Norse, the language of older Norse gods. They branded Lady (Y/N) to save her for later, like a reminder that they-"  "They're not finished with her yet," Nat finished for him. (Y/N) started to freak out, the normal human response, "Brand? A reminder? Why am I getting hunted all of a sudden? I did nothing wrong to anyone....recently...that I remember." They got her to calm down eventually, and promised her that they were going to protect her especially since she was now formal in the special S.H.E.I.L.D witness protection program. As they spoke, people have already had some of her stuff transferred to a room in the tower that Tony had left over. Most things seemed sorted, and when they about to leave she interrupted them. "Can I speak to Loki alone for a minute, please?"

Of course that sounded a little suspicious at first, but Loki sat back down and the Avengers kept watch from outside. "You wished to-" "How are you, Loki? I could tell when you first walked in here you were worried about me." She can't be serious, that was the only thing he had in his head at the moment. He said, "You shouldn't worry about me, Lady (Y/N). You are the one who is in need of care with what happened to you."  "...You didn't answer my question, Loki" From the look on her face, and how quiet her voice got this was something genuine. He couldn't even think of a witty thought to say back, "Loki, I could get hurt so many times, but if you get hurt a single time again I couldn't live with myself. I lo-" She stopped, looking down to see that she was holding onto his hand and even closer to him. He whispered to her, "You what, Lady (Y/N)? Are you sure we haven't met before?" She shook her head and sighed. "Because I care for all my....friends, and you are now one of them," She smiled as someone barged in with a pile of clothes. It was one of the bandmates, now feeling awkward for ruining the mood.

Back at the tower, it seemed like the security tapes were also altered to cut out a part and leave some sort of glitch affect. "What did the head scientist have to say about this again?" Steve asked. One of the workers from S.H.E.I.L.D answered, "He said that he just remembers waking up there, thought he passed out or something. The rest of them that work with him said that Director Fury gave him orders to move it to a safer location." Two different stories, and one possible process that everyone thought of at once; Mind Control. Before anyone else could say anything, all screens glitched and screeched at once.

"More predictable then I thought really, but this is only the first time we've met after all," That same velvet voice oozed out of the speakers of every TV in New York as well as some of the bases of S.H.E.I.L.D. The same dark silhouette, now holding and playing with the scepter like it was a toy that belonged to them. "Now the only thing left is the Tesseract, but not to unleash an army...yet. The one issue is that the Tesseract is not on Earth, but on Asgard with the Norse gods and goddesses. Don't worry, I have just a way to get there~" Their voice glitched a  bit as they started to talk, a white crescent shape showing to represent their smile. A picture of Loki and (Y/N) talking at the hospital was put on screen, looking closer then just friends, "It seems like one of the brothers has found comfort in my target, so let's see if Thor is kind enough to escort me to Asgard himself if he loves his brother so?" They started to laugh, soon turning into crazy loud laughter mixed in with other laughs from other people. Cut to a timer that was set for 3 days in time, "I'll give you a little time to try and find me, I do love how smart you all get, you know~"

They just started a war.
