All At Once

The rest of the day seemed normal enough with the team doing their best to look more into the threat while not trying to stress themselves out too much. But, morning came.

The team, plus Loki, wanted to thank (Y/N) for everything that she has done for them even if they were suppose to protect her. To start the day of thankfulness, Clint decided to wake up early to make her breakfast. He was soon followed by the rest of the team, helping him prepare for a whole big thank you for her, of course Loki did join in the efforts in his own loner ways away from them.

"She should be awake by now," Natasha questioned. Tony shrugged, "Maybe she slept in or wanted to take a longer shower." Even with the excuse, they all had a shrinking feeling in their stomachs. While they were quietly worrying about this, Loki took this feeling personally very quickly and decided to check on her. Arriving at her door, he knocked lightly at first to get no response. The second time was a bit louder, sure enough she would hear that one with no other noises coming from her room, but no answer. His nerves got worse and without any second thoughts, he used what little power he was limited to teleport inside her room. What he saw didn't help him calm down in anyway. Her room completely empty with her blankets and sheets ripped off her bed, and the window wide open.

"She's gone!" Loki yelled, quickly walking into the living room. Before anyone could respond out loud, the TV fizzled once more to let everyone know that this threat was back to deliver a message. This one was different though, because they didn't see a silhouette of them this time, it was (Y/N). She was strapped to a chair, panting with bruises and blood coming from her mouth. " Help me....please," she begged through her quiet voice. It quickly switched to the same silhouette everyone knew, "I might as well speed this up. Time is money, of course~" With that, the TV turned off to leave the silence of heavy anger sinking further into all of their minds. In a blink of an eye, Natasha got a call from Fury and it sounded very urgent, so he was put on speaker for everyone, "This is it. They started launching attacks on multiple areas of the city and even outside of it at the same time."

They all got suited up in the meantime, including Loki who had the main goal of being the one to kill the person who kidnapped and hurt the one human who doesn't see him as a threat. There were about 3 attacks from supernatural forces similar to the target's enhancement, reports of 2 bombs in the northwest of town, and about two known terrorist groups that "somehow" got new weapons and many more followers. Almost all of the agents that Fury had, including the Avengers, were out in the field trying to minimize the conflict so nobody gets hurt too badly. Clint and Natasha helped with the terrorist groups, Steve went to deal with both bombs, and the rest tried to take down these other bigger monster attacks that were connected to the target the most.

During all the commotion, multiple agents were hurt and needed to be sent back to the nurses and doctors they had at base. One of them were hurt very badly, going to be treated for his broken legs and gun shot to the thigh. They were given a little private room to quickly extract the bullet, but when the doctor walked in to see that they looked completely fine they knew something wasn't right. The doctor went running to get proper security, but the 'agent' covered his mouth to put him in a headlock. This lasted for about a minute or so until they fell limp in their hands, being thrown to the ground. Muffled noises were the only thing that could be heard at that moment of dragging the doctor in the corner, that is until this so called agent whistled for someone. A minute later, the person from the theater wearing their mask walked from the shadows, "Thank you for your service" Their velvet voice spilled out. "Now let us finish this now. I'm guessing you don't care about stealth at the moment now that things are on a timer," The agent chuckled.

The person gestured their hands as if they were pulling something from the ground. A shadowy mist floated up to spin around the person and change them into a generic female agent that looked close to the one standing before them. "Lead the way then," They nodded to them in a very different voice. Off they went with no one in their way to stop them, or so they thought. It seems that one other agent closer to Agent Maria was very observant, reporting it immediately to her.

"Tony, the main target has infiltrated the base! Get back here as fast as you can!" Fury contacted him. "Is that way all the chaos out here suddenly disappeared into black smoke?" He questioned back, rounding up the rest of them team.

The disguise faded on the mastermind as they entered a weapons testing ground, the darkest place they could get to finally finish the hardest part of the plan. "Have all the others block the door and all entrances for as long as possible," They commanded, having the agent nod and leave the room. "Alright, we've built up enough energy for this. You remember your part in this?"  "Of course, I just find the tesseract and I grab it, how hard could it-" a voice smugly responded before being cut off by the mastermind. "Continue that phrase, and you'll jinx us." This was it, the final stretch, and it was all on their shoulders. They sighed deeply and held out their arms towards the great shadows in the room, letting them flow towards them and wrap around their arms and lay onto them to copy the look of their veins. "Let this work!" They yelled, flinging that power out in front of her to create a tiny tornado. This took a lot of energy and strength out of them, but they kept going until the little tornado started to look like a portal that was slowly opening.

The Avengers was blocked greatly by many obstacles, but mixed with Banner now becoming the Hulk and Loki's blood thirst out to play it became a bit easier to keep moving forward. As the fighting continued, Hulk was lured away by one of their minions while the rest of the team moved forward. They were even close enough to see what they were doing in the first place, "She's creating a portal!" Natasha yelled, shooting a fake agent. "To where and how?" Steve yelled back. It was like time froze when Thor got a glimpse to where they were trying to go. The glow of gold and bright sky only told him one place; Asgard. This made his blood boil even more, blasting through the agents quickly to try and stop them from even finishing the portal. "Now!" They yelled, letting a giant female shaped shadowy figure form and quickly crawl through it. "Find it quickly! I can't hold on much longer!" The only thing holding up the portal was their blasting of power coming from the shadows around them, getting quite hard to even hold up their arms with how much strain this caused.

They were using so much power, that the agents started to disappear in efforts to keep the portal up longer with her complete focus on it. The team took this instantly, running in and trying to destroy the portal quickly, but even with that they were still able to hold up the portal with one hand and push them back with the other. "I found it!" "Get it and come on!" In a blink of an eye, they were falling through the air into a wall and seeing the portal crumbled back into mist and return to the shadows. It seems like Hulk found his way to the area, punching the mastermind into a wall to forcefully bring back the figure before they could grabbed the cube and destroy the portal. They screamed in pain, falling in pain and exhaustion, "No....NO!" They tried to get up, but it's like their body wouldn't work. The exhaustion was too much for them to handle, but of course the stubborn never listen.

Struggling to their feet, they conjure up guns and start to shoot at the Hulk. It didn't go well, as their vision went black from the fact that Hulk started to throw them around like a rag doll, knocking them out cold.

A low buzz rang for many to hear, along with low groaning. Eyes opened to see the situation at hand; hands bonded tightly, muzzle covered the mouth, and contained in some sort of giant glass cage. Then a voice spoke up, it sounded like Tony. "I have to admit, you make a great actor (Y/N). Even a better liar than Rudolph himself, and that's a very bad thing to be," He said. Turning around, (Y/N) found herself being glared down by the team. Each of their eyes burning into her skull, but the worse one of all was Loki. Their eyes locked once more, but not for a good thing this time.

(Y/N) has failed her mission.
