It was a new day, and the king has rose form his slumber. A knock was soon heard at the door, "Come in." In walked (Y/N) with papers in hand and a basket of clothes held by her side. "(Y/N)," He seemed slightly shocked. "Where is the usual servant that tends to me in the morning?" She walked over to place down his washed clothes and papers of request and meeting he had to attend. "He told me to inform you that he had to leave very early today. Apparently, his sister has passed away in her sleep due to a sudden cardiac arrest. She didn't want a big funeral, so her family simply buried her in her favorite spot. When he found out, he was devastated," she explained. He nodded, thinking to himself, "Get my coat" "My lord, I know what you're thinking and may I tell you that his family isn't quite fond of you." He ignored her warning, getting up to soon get dressed.

(Y/N) accompanied him on his journey, but before they actually left the castle she handed him some flowers. He looked confused for a second, "(Y/N), I don't think this is a proper time for flatter" "What? O-Oh, no, this is for the grave. Anyone who dies here, we don't burn their bodies to send them Valhalla, the body is buried in the ground and adorn a bouquet of flowers in thought of them." They were off, walking in the lead of (Y/N) while Loki kept his gaze on her instead of all the people who were either scared of him completely or hated him and gave him the evil eye. Once getting there, (Y/N) tried to go on ahead, but Loki stopped her. Looking back, she saw what was happening, "You're nervous to go, aren't you?" He blushed a small bit, "Stay in your place, (Y/N). . .Yet, I do think that this is not a good idea for me to do."  She smiled a bit at him.

"My lord," She said. "All you have to do is lay these flowers on her grave and give them your condolences. Even if you still feel like you can't do that, just remember that I am by your side no matter what." Her hands rested on his holding the flowers, "You are doing a good thing here, and it's that thought that counts the most." She looked him straight in his eyes and smiled, getting a smile back from him that only lasted for a minute before realizing what was going on. He cleared his throat and walked up to the family slowly with (Y/N) by his side.

The grave was under a tree in a giant flower garden. The family was silent and held their heads down in respect, until hearing the footsteps of Loki and (Y/N). The servant jumped up in surprise and wiped his tears, "My lord...I'm sorry I left so sud-" "Do not apologize for this" His voice was soft and sincere. Walking pass the family, he placed the flowers by the tombstone and walked back to (Y/N), "I give you my condolences for your lost, truly. You may take all the time you need before come back to your duties." He started to cry a bit, but bowed to him in gratitude anyway. As they both walked away, the mother yelled out to them, "Thank you...the both of you dearly." Looking back, Loki nodded while (Y/N) waved, turning back to respect their wishes of not wanting anyone else there at the moment.

"Thank you (Y/N," "For?" "For convincing me to take that step towards them," He answered. She looked over at him and laughed quietly, "It is my duty, my lord. To help you however I can...while also knocking some sense into you" "Don't push your luck, maid" "You can't blame me for trying, can you?"
