Sole Survivor (A Percy Jackson x Undertale Fanfiction)

Chapter 16

"i warned y'all."

Four of the hunters stand around Sans, arrows nocked into their bows.  The rest of them were either knocked out unconscious or pinned to the ground and trees by light blue bones.

"Thalia, should we retreat?" the Hunter Thalia called Phoebe asks.  "He doesn't seem to show any direct aggressiveness towards any of us.  Plus, we can't take him down with just the four of us."

Thalia just grits her teeth, holding up her shield, Aegis.

"yes, that's a good idea," Sans says.  "you should listen to her."

"We are in Camp Half-Blood woods," Thalia says.  "We can just alert Chiron and some of the other demigods.  Alright then everyone, let's retreat."

At that, the two other Hunters take small yellow orbs out of their pockets and throw them to the ground, creating huge clouds of smoke.  As Sans waves the smoke out of his eye sockets, he notices that the four Hunters have disappeared.

"wow, they just left their comrades like that," Sans says.  "boy, can they run."

"Sans!" he suddenly hears Maya shout.

Sans turns his head to the side to see Maya running over to him.  She jumps at him and tackles him to the ground.

"heh, sup kiddo," Sans says, ruffling Maya's hair as she buries her face into his jacket.

"I've been looking for you everywhere!"  Maya says.  "Annabeth, Will, and I were being attacked and, when we made it out of the forest, I worried that you might be coming back in to find us."

"attacked?" Sans asks, concerned.  "are y'all okay?"

"Yeah, none of us got hurt, if that's what you mean," Maya says, getting up from Sans so he could get up as well.

Maya then turns to the Hunters, who are all unconscious and pinned to the trees nearby and the ground by blue bones.

"Sans, did you just-"

"they attacked first," he says.  "it was self-defense."

"You shouldn't be using so much magic," Maya says.  "You're still recovering from your fight a few days ago."

"i'll be fine," Sans says.

"Sans, I can practically hear your soul screaming out in pain," Maya says.

"i'll just be even lazier than usual, then."

"I'll be holding you up to that."

"not a problem."

"Sans, are you about to collapse?"

"no, i feel completely fine.  why?"

"Your eye lights are dulling."

"that could mean anything really.  it doesn't necessarily mean that i'm about to zzzzz-"

At that, he promptly falls into Maya's outstretched arms, who just smiles down at his unconscious form.

"Bonehead," she mutters. 

She looks over to the unconscious Hunters before looking back down at Sans.

"I'll bring Sans to the Hades cabin first," she mutters to herself.

Finding that she can easily find a passage of teleportation straight to the Hades' cabin without bumping into a magical barrier like before, she summons magic around her body and closes her eyes.  When she reopens them, she finds herself in the Hades cabin.  Maya gently lays Sans down on one of the bunks before teleporting back into the forest.
