"Well, that was fun," Percy says, taking a rest from 2v1ing Reyna with Jason.
"It's definitely the most exercise I've had in a while," Jason says.
"Eh, it's good warmup," Reyna says, barley winded.
"This is another reason why you don't have a boyfriend yet, Reyna," Jason says, jokingly. "You always gotta flex your combat ability on others."
Reyna chases Jason around the duel arena, waving her sword at him and shouting insults and near-profanities at him. Percy just laughs at the sight.
"It's 2 hours before curfew," Leo says, checking the time on a watch he pulls out of his tool belt while sipping a can of soda. "I'll be heading back to Bunker 9."
"Speaking of Bunker 9, why is it closed?" Reyna asks. "You Hephaestus kids usually love to show off your failu-, I mean, creations."
"One, they're not failures," Leo says. "Two, like I said before, we're working on something pretty dangerous. Don't wanna get anyone hurt."
"Are you sure it's just cuz of the skeleton you're keeping in your bunker?" Reyna asks.
Leo snorts soda out of his nose. Jason and Percy turn to her.
"Skeleton?" he asks, clearly startled. "What skeleton?"
"I snuck into Bunker 9 earlier today," Reyna says. "Saw him working away on a huge metal TARDIS of some sort in there."
"Well crap," Leo says. "Alright, who told her?"
"I did," Frank says from one of the bleachers.
"Why?" Leo asks.
"She had already found out about Sans before I told her," Frank says. "I just filled in the holes."
"How did she take it?" Percy asks.
"The same way the rest of us did," Frank says. "She didn't read his diary though."
"It's best if she doesn't," Jason says.
"Mhm," Percy responds, nodding.
"Why not?" Reyna asks.
"No need to know," Frank says. "Anyways, tomorrow morning, we plan on making Sans's presence known to Camp Jupiter."
"Need our help?" Percy asks. "If it's the 7 demigods of the prophecy and the 2 praetors of Camp Jupiter, there's no way they can't accept him. Sure they might not be happy about it at first, but he's a friendly guy."
"From what I've heard from Frank, he's pretty powerful," Reyna says. "When you get to Bunker 9, can you sneak him over here? I can wait."
"Sure thing," Leo says, leaving the amphitheater.
"You should be expecting him in a minute or two," Percy says. "Want some water?"
"A minute or two?" Reyna asks. "Isn't it like a 5 minute walk to Bunker 9 and back?"
"It would be for a normal person," Percy says. "However, for Sans..."
Sans suddenly appears right beside Percy in a field of light blue sparks. Percy jumps, throwing his sword at Sans. Sans leans to the side, the sword flying right by his head.
"Poseidon's pants, Sans!" Percy shouts, standing up. "Don't teleport up to people like that!"
"heh, sorry kiddo," Sans says, turning to Reyna. "who's this?"
"Reyna," Reyna greets, holding out a hand for a handshake. "We talked before."
"yeah, you're my stalker," Sans says, shaking her head. "nice to meet you."
