The sun was shining and birds were chirping. The people of Konoha welcomed the day.

Erin woke up to the sounds of knocking and rustling. She walked out of her room to see what had happened.

She reached the bottom of the stairs, Erin saw Daiji fixing a cabinet in the kitchen.

"Good morning." Said Erin plainly as she looked at Daiji.

"Oh," Daiji turned around and looked at her, "Did i wake you?" He asked with an apologetic tone.

Erin nodded, "But it's fine, I'm not tired." She answered.

"Alright then," Daiji said with a smile, "I'm done anyway, are you hungry?" He asked.

Erin shook her head, "Not really." She said, "I was thinking about going to train in the woods."

"That's a great idea." He encouraged her, "Do you at least want an apple? It's fresh from the tree." Daiji offered.

Erin sighed, "Sure, why not."

The two walked across the. living room and slid open the glass doors to the back yard. They walked down the wooden steppes and stepped onto the soft green grass.

They walked to the big apple tree and stood at the foot of it.

"Wow...." Erin mumbled as she looked at the huge tree.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" Daiji said as he looked up at the tree with a smile.

"How old is it?" Asked Erin as she placed her hand on the tree.

"I'm not sure, but my mom plated it when she and my Dad moved in, so it's pretty old." Said Daiji.

Erin looked up at him as he talked about his mother. She said nothing but knew what he felt.

Daiji reached up and grabbed an apple, he handed it to Erin. "Thanks." She said and took a bite.

Her eyes immediately lit up as the sweet juicy flavor enveloped her mouth, "Mmmmmm!" She happily chewed.

Daiji chuckled, "I know right?" He loved that apple tree.

"We should," She said between bites, "Make pie." Erin took another bite.

"Yeah..." Daiji laughed and scratched his neck, "Pie." he cringed.

The two walked back into the house.

"I'm getting a few more things for the house, need anything?" Daiji asked as he went to put his shoes on.

Erin shook her head, "Nope."

"Okay then," he sighed as he slipped on his shoes, "Will you be alright?" He asked automatically, he was concerned about Erin adapting into a routine again after what happened.

Erin sighed and nodded, "Yeah." She hoped that training will help her get her mind off of things.

Daiji nodded as he looked into her eyes and left, a bit worried. He never saw Erin as a little girl, he always knew what she needed and how she handled things.

He wasn't worried about her taking care of herself, He was worried about her mental health and how she was dealing with it.

Erin sighed walked up to her room to change. As she opened the door she felt like things have always been this way.

It was as if this had been the way she had been living forever. She forgot what it used to be like and feel like.

She grabbed black tight shorts and tied a black T-shirt. She didn't want any new clothes, she didn't want to trouble Daiji for it, so she dealt with what she had.
