Erin yawned as the sun shined through her windows. She rubbed her eyes as she stared at the ceiling. Her heart began to beat faster as she felt the adrenaline pumping through her veins. It was today! Finally.

She jumped out of bed with a small smirk on her face.

Daiji was in the living room reading a book that had a plain blue cover on it, he looked up as he heard a small set of footsteps running in the hallway.

"Daiji!" Erin practically slid across the floor as she entered the living room.

"I know." Daiji chuckled and closed his book, "Are you ready?" He asked proudly.

Erin nodded, "Yes." With determination in her eyes, Daiji never failed to remember the same look on Arsida's face. Hw shook his head and got up.

"Then how about some breakfast before we go?" He smiled as Erin nodded.

Daiji made sure to make a healthy breakfast for Erin, well, at least he tried to. He never like cooking, he always used to eat junk food because he sucked at cooking, but he knew he needed to take of Erin the best way he could.

Erin munched on the sandwich that was on her plate and made sure to drink the freshly made apple juice.

"Go get ready." Daiji said softly as he picked up the empty plate and cup off of the table.

Erin didn't hesitate to bolt towards her room making Daiji snort as he knew she was excited.

Erin wouldn't admit it but she was excited for the first time in a long time.

She quickly tackled her dresser, and her eyes widen as she saw newly folded clothes in her drawers.

'Is this for me...?' She couldn't help but unconsciously smile, feeling her heart warm a bit as she appreciated that Daiji thought of her and bought her new clothes...

Daiji turned to face Erin as she walked out of the hallway, he blinked a few times before a smile formed on his face.

Erin wore a dark blue sleeveless shirt that hugged her perfectly, and black shirts that almost reached her knees.

"Do you like it?" Daiji said as he walked over to her and ruffled her brown hair.

Erin nodded, "Thank you." She mumbled with a small smile.

"Of course kid!" He smiled lovingly and walked towards the door, "Come on." He said as he put his shoes on. Erin did the same.

The two walked put as Daiji lead the way.

"Have you ever been in the academy?" Erin asked as she looked up at him.

Daiji chuckled which made Erin tilt her head in confusion, "Yeah, i studied here before we moved away."

"Oh, right, i forgot." She mumbled.

"It's pretty cool, i mean, i hated it back then, but when i look back, it was fun." Daiji mumbled as he remembered what it used to be like.

Erin nodded, "I hated the school at the sand." She mumbled. Daiji looked down at her with pity.

"I know, but if you pass," Daiji spoke making Erin look up, "You won't have to go to school and you will become a ninja." He said with a smirk knowing it will fire her up.

Erin's eyes sparkled for a few seconds before she spoke, "I will pass." She said determinately.

Daiji had no doubt and had a supporting smile.

Feeling a hit emotional that the little girl in front of him went through hell and still has the willpower to fight.

Before they knew it, the two stood in front of the academy.
