The birds chirped as the morning wind blew past the villagers of Konoha. The sun shined into Erin's window. It was a new day full of new adventures.
Erin sighed as she slowly opened her eyes.
Yesterday was a lot and all she wanted to do was to stay in bed but she knew that wasn't an option.
'You can do it.' She thought to herself - convincing herself that she can.
Erin got out of bed and walked out of her room, Daiji was not around making her look for him.
She found him in the backward picking apples off of the tree.
"Hey." She mumbled as she walked out to the porch.
She felt the wood against her várt feet as the breeze blew past the two
"Oh, good morning!" Daiji smiled as he picked off another apple, "Did you sleep well?" He asked as he placed it in the bucket.
Erin nodded, "I guess..." she didn't want to tell him about what she had been feeling. Especially about Kakashi.
It wasn't the fact that she was scared of his reaction. It was just the fact that she, herself, didn't quite understand what she felt.
She knew he could help her but she couldn't utter a word about it.
"Are you okay?" He asked as he picked up the bucked and walked towards her.
"Yeah..." Erin furred her brows, "Just...thinking." she smiled weakly causing him to smile back at her.
"Come inside, help me wash the apples." Daiji walked past her, pumping his shoulder against hers and making her chuckle.
"Okay, old man." She slid open the door and the two walked inside.
They stood in the kitchen and began to wash the apple side by side. Erin told him what she had been up to and the two talked. Like they used to.
Sometimes you don't get to plan those small talks with someone. They just come naturally.
Erin dropped an apple accidentally into the sink making a bit of water splash into Daijis face.
"Sorry." Erin chuckled and picked it back up.
Daiji narrowed his eyes and a smirk grew on his face. He put his apple away and allowed water into his palm, he lifted his hand and splashed it into her face.
Erin gasped, "You sneaky man!" She yelled and splashed him with more water.
Daiji tried to avoid the water but failed with a laugh, "Oh yeah!?" He opened the faucet and splashed her again.
"Daiji!" Erin yelled as she was soaked.
In return, she bolted towards him but Daiji ran away from her, "Get away from me you evil child! You're soaked!"
Erin laughed and chased him around the table. The two ran around and eventually, she got a hold of him and hugged him tightly.
Daiji groaned as he felt his clothes get wet but Erin simply laughed, not letting him go.
Daiji chuckled and hugged her back not being able to get away from her.
"You're crazy." He laughed as he patted her head.
"I learned it from you." She smiled, "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree." She laughed.
Daijj rolled his eyes at the dumb joke she had made, "Funny." He pushed her off and walked back to the sink.
