Erin slowly opened her eyes as she heard the birds chirp and the sunshine through her window. Her heart clenched as she remembered that today was the day she will finally be able to take another step forward towards her dream.
She stretched and got out of her bed, walking towards her dresser picking out a black set; Erin got dressed and put on her headband she was oh so proud of.
But as she did she had one thing and one thing only on her mind.
Today was the last step of the chunin exams. After they successfully passed the test of the written exam, taking the risk of being genin for genin turned out the be the right choice.
The forest of death was an experience she will never forget, but a nice one since they completed their scroll collection.
Then going forwards, with both her teammates, in the first face-offs, they passed to the last round, which was later this afternoon.
It has been a long year of training, and she was ready to move forward as a Chunin.
Erin walked out of her room and out to the kitchen, "Morning." She said as she walked to the kitchen.
"Hey." Daiji ruffled her hair as she walked past him towards the fridge.
Erin sighed as she looked around and closed the fridge, not finding anything, "I'll be back soon." Erin walked off to put on her shoes.
"Are you going training with Kakashi again?" Daiji said as he continued cutting up the fresh apples for his famous pie he was so proud of.
"Yeah." She mumbled and got up and gave him a small smile, "See you soon."
"Don't wear yourself out! You need the energy for today!" Daiji yelled as he heard her walk towards the door.
Erin walked out, signing, she had been training with Kakashi for a while now. Riku had been helping with the team, but Erin wanted to train more.
She had asked him one day at the graveyard when they bumped into each other again, and ever since then, they had been training for a year and a half now.
They had gotten a lot closer, not strangers anymore. Erin felt good knowing she had earned another person she felt comfortable with.
A small smile came across her face as she saw him leaning on a tree, Erin walked faster, eager to start.
"You're late." Kakashi said in his low voice as he kept his eyes on the clouds.
"Isn't that my line?" Erin crossed her arms.
Kakashi chuckled at her challenging reply, "Sure, kid." He walked past her, his hands deep in his pockets.
"Come on, Let's start!" She walked after him catching up.
"Aren't you supposed to save your energy for the exam?" Kakashi glanced down at Erin. They were walking towards the clearing in the woods.
"Yes..." She mumbled making Kakashi smile under his mask, "But i still want to train, i want to win!" Erin growled as she tightened her fists with a smirk.
Kakashi snorted at her comment, "I can't believe i am helping you, i could be doing better things than train with a little demon." He said in a bored tone.
"Well, it's too late now," Erin rolled her eyes, "We have been training. And no you do not have anything better to do than train with me," She glared at the older man, "You just stay at home."
Kakashi sighed, 'This kid...' He shook his head, "That is still way better." He said earning a glare from Erin.
"Whatever you lazy freak!" Erin said as she stopped walking, making Kakashi turn around, "Show me what you got." She smirked as she got into a fighting stance.
