"Finally." Erin sighed as she got home.

She walked in, throwing her shoes on the floor, not having the strength to put them away.

"Hey there."

Erin turned to her left to see Daiji sit at the dining table with a smile, a drink in His cup.

Erin let out a deep breath, "Hi." She walked up to him with a smile.

She wrapped her arms around the man who did the same in return. Erin's brows furrowed as he smelled like whisky.

She pulled away, "Are you okay?" Erin asked suddenly.

Daiji raised a brow, "What?" He chuckled, she could tell he was a little under the influence.

Erin sighed and averted her eyes to the cup in his hand. His eyes followed where she was looking.

He sighed, "Just a hard day." Daiji mumbled as he kept his eyes on the cup.

Erin's face softened and she sat down next to him, "What happened?" She asked.

Daiji laughed bitterly, 'When did it come to the point where she takes care of me.' He shook his head.

"Just a rough meeting." He looked into her eyes.

Erin placed her hand on top of his, "You know you can tell me, I'm not a kid Daiji. You can tell me things."

Daiji shook his head, 'I can't...' He remembered what had been told earlier, "Everything is alright." He caressed her hand.

Erin looked into his eyes knowing he was lying, "Why can't you tell me. What happened?"

At this point, she began to get worried. Erin needed to find out the truth.

"Did someone hurt you?" She pushed further.

Daiji shook his head, "No, no." He held her hand tighter, "I'm okay." He smiled.

Erin sighed, "Then what happened?" She shook her head, her eyes begging him to tell her the truth.

"I can't tell you, not like this." Daiji admitted.

"But this is all we've got." Erin shrugged.

Daiji swallowed and retreated his hand from hers, "I didn't want to tell you like this." He got up and rubbed his eyes.

Erin raised a brow, "Tell me what?" She asked impatiently.

Daiji sighed, not even knowing how to tell her.

He took a deep breath before speaking, "I'll be going away for a while."

Erin got up as well, "What do you mean, going away?" She asked confused, feeling a bit stressed at his words.

Daiji turned to look at her, "I was assigned a mission," He mumbled, "An S-ranked mission." Daiji added.

Erin's eyes widen, she gulped and sat back down, not truly knowing what to feel.

"I found out today when i was called into the office." He took a step towards her.

"I have to accept it. I can't tell you why just yet, but i have to." He said helplessly as tears began to form in his eyes.

It wasn't the mission that bothered Erin. It was the fact that she was scared he wasn't going to come back.

"How long?" She asked as she looked up at him, her eyes were glossy due to the tears unknowingly to her.

"I have no idea." He shrugged, "However long it takes." Daiji mumbled.
