"Hold on." Kai mumbled quietly.

Erin, Seiko, and Kai were currently up on a tree, in the Village hidden Among Dreams.

Erin narrowed her eyes behind her mask, "He's engaging with a civilian." She mumbled.

The two criminals they were sent to handle and arrest fled to the Village they were in.

Tsunade had asked the three to catch them since they were a threat to the leaf.

"We were told not to engage them at all," Seiko interrupted, "Not until they exit the village. To prevent a scene."

Erin was about to comment but a yell causes them all to look back at the criminals.

"Let go of me!" A middle-aged woman yelled at one of the criminals who grabbed her arm.

"Are you sure you want to do that?" The criminal insisted.

Erin, Seiko, and Kai watched the scene unfold. Erin was at the tip of her toes, itching to help.

"I said let go of me!" The woman yelled louder.

"Shut her up." The other criminal whispered in the alleyway.

The woman yelped as the man had her in a chokehold, "Fine, ill make it quick."

The other criminal swung the woman's stolen bag happily, "Go on."

The man lifted the not too small knife he had in his pocket.

Kai and Seiko looked over at Erin who had that look in her eyes.

The one that said she was going to do something, the one filled with determination.

"Erin, no." Kai warned.

"Don't do it, Erin!" Seiko whispered loudly, "You'll blow our cover and defy the orders which were given!"

The man lifted the knife and swung it toward the woman's throat. She whimpered in fear.

Seiko and Kai's eyes widen at the scene unknowingly to them Erin was long gone.

The criminal was sent flying onto the floor, "Get away from her!" Erin yelled as she landed on her feet.

Kai groaned angrily, "God Dammit Erin!" He yelled jumping down towards the fleeing criminal.

"Fuck sake!" Seiko yelled as she entered the scene, "Not again..."

"Thank you! Thank you!" The woman tugged on Erin's arm crying.

"It's okay." Erin wore a soft smile under her mask.

"We can go back now." Kai spoke in a bored tone as he and Seiko finished imprisoning the criminals.

"Have a good day." Erin waved to the woman and in a blink of an eye they were gone.

The three were soon in front of the Hokages building. As the three walked up there was thick tension in the air.

Erin didn't regret what she did, 'It's not a big deal. I defied the rules to save a life, right? That's what we are here for.'

She felt that her friends would understand. Erin believed that.

"Come in." Tsunade ordered as Kai knocked on the door.

"Did you succeed in the mission?" The fourth Hokage asked.

The three exchanged glances.
