Erin put a deep breath as she stepped foot in Konoha, walking into the village, past the gates.

She glanced to her side only to see Kai and Seiko. She let out a small chuckle as she would have never believed they would stay...

"What's so funny?" Kai raised a brow as he glanced at Erin.

"What?" Erin was snapped out of her thoughts, "Oh, nothing." She mumbled looking away.

They all passed shops and village members. Everything that was so normal to a pair of eyes, but to them, to her, it wasn't.

Being back meant so much more than it sounded.

"We need to go to the office, right?" Asked Seiko as she glanced at the two.

"Yeah." Kai replied as he looked over at Erin who was looking around, focused.

Erin's heart beat faster as she saw the Hokage's building come closer in view.

Everything she saw, random houses, that one path, or some kid run past her, they all meant something; it felt so right.

But what made her heart clench and the air in her lungs leave, was the fact that she would see them all again, her friends, Daiji, and him...

Would their feelings change? Did they change? Those were questions that would only be answered when she sees them, and that scared her the most. The unknown.

Erin didn't notice she simply stood there in front of the stairs, "Erin." Kai called as he placed a hand on her shoulder.

Erin looked up at him, blinking a few times, "Yeah, I know." She mumbled.

Seiko sighed and walked up to them, "We will walk in together and leave together." She said softly.

Erin sighed and pushed Kai's hand off of her shoulder gently, "I'm not looking for pity. It's just weird." She said honestly.

Seiko shrugged, "I know, but we are here. At least that's not weird. Hold on to that." She smiled.

"We are not pitying you." Kai added, "We just want to help." He said as he stuffed his hand into his pockets.

Erin exchanged her eyes between the two, she let out a deep breath, "I really don't know what I would do without you." She mumbled.

She felt a smile creep onto her face no matter how much she fought it.

"What was that?" Kai teased with a smirk pretending not to hear her.

Seiko chuckled, "Yeah, I didn't quite catch that." She crossed her arms.

Erin let out a small chuckle as she held back a laugh, "Whatever, freaks." She tolled her eyes and pushed past them, walking up the stairs.

Kai and Seiko exchanged small smiles and walked up after her.

The three walked down the hallway to the office, now feeling the anxiety in their chests.

Tsunade tapped her finger on the table, watching the door as Shizune simply stood beside her looking around the room from time to time.

Daiji let out a sigh as he couldn't wait to see Erin walk through the door. He impatiently stood there wanting to walk put and look for her.

Kakashi stood on the other side of the room; his stomach twisted as the thought of Erin being in the village made him Feel because it shouldn't.

He compared it to when Naruto returned, he missed him, and yes when he saw his student, it felt right.
