Erin glared at Asuma who walked beside her with a teasing smirk."If you keep looking at me like that I'm going to kill you." She mumbled.
Asuma laughed at her comment, "What? I didn't say anything..." He shrugged as he knew exactly what he was doing and what Erin was thinking.
"Whatever." She rolled her eyes.
Erin was a person who loved denial. I guess we all do in a way.
She denied the way she had felt towards Kakashi so as soon as someone points it out, she overthinks everything.
The two reached the center of the village.
"See you later Asuma." She said as she was about to turn right.
"Bye." Asuma smiled in return.
"Wait." She halted, "Back at the hospital. You said something about a mission."
Asuma halted as well, "I did. But it's confidential information, Erin."
Erin furrowed her brows, "I know i just-" She sighed, "I want to help."
Asuma let out a breath, "I know." He placed a hand on her shoulder, "I'm sure you know why you can't, specifically now."
Her powers were supposed to contribute to the village, not to be kept as a secret.
At least that's what she thought.
Her dream, let alone her job was to protect.
She knew she needed to do something and she had to do it now.
"I get it." Erin looked into his eyes, "It's just hard to watch and do nothing."
Asuma smiled weakly, "Just have faith and everything will be alright."
She stared down at her feet, 'I think i have an idea!' Erin looked up at Asuma.
"When will you be leaving for the mission?"
"In a week."
"Oh." She mumbled, "Well! Good luck." Erin smiled and Asuma didn't hesitate to ruffle her hair.
"God Asuma I'm not ten." Erin rolled her eyes as she fixed her hair.
"You act like you are." He smirked.
"Shut up!" Erin laughed as she pushed him away earning a laugh from the man.
"See you later Erin, talk to me if you need anything." He smiled and waved as he walked away.
"See ya!" She walked off.
'I have to make a plan so i can join them. I won't let them fight alone.'
She was determined to help out, even if it meant she will go against every rule.
'If they allowed Naruto to go after Akatsuki, ill make sure to go as well! Whatever it takes.'
"ERIN!"
Erin flinched and looked back only to see none other than Naruto.
"Naruto?" She mumbled.
He ran up to her, "Hey." He panted.
Erin chuckled, "Hey Naruto." She just saw and yet he dramatically greeted her.
"I saw you around the corner," He caught his breath, "I'm on my way to the gate to greet Gaara."
Erin's eyes widen, "Oh, really?" She mumbled.
Naruto nodded enthusiastically, "Kakashi mentioned you knew him and said you'd be happy to see him."
Erin sighed as her head dropped, a smile crept onto her face, 'That man...'
