SOULMATE AU

Kim Sunoo

My life had been very difficult ever since I got my present from my soulmate in the mail, six years ago.

This small little present was a pretty little necklace that had a small butterfly pendant on it, along with a nice little letter.

"Hello my soulmate! I am so happy to give you this present and I am so excited to receive your present too! I know I will love it! I can't wait for the day that I finally get to meet you! I know I will be so so happy! I love you my soulmate!

I was now sixteen and I got my present when I was only ten years old and I still hadn't met him yet, I had been looking for a Kim Sunoo with a silver and gold bracelet for years and yet I still hadn't found him.

Today was the same as literally every other day of the week, month and year, I get up and make sure I've eaten before I get changed into my school uniform and head off to school, after school, I headed back to my dorm and changed into something way more comfortable and loose.

After changing, I headed out of my dorm, with my favourite Unnie, Chaeyong, and we walked to the Hybe building, making sure to stop in past our favourite café and grabbing a coffee.

Once we made our way into the company, we were greeted by two woman at the front desk, the two of them smiling and bowing at us as the two of us did the same.

"I wonder what manger-nim is going to say today. What do you think Mingyu is going to teach us in dance today?" Chaeyong unnie asked me with a slight sigh, I turned my head to look at her before looking ahead of me again.

"I am not too sure but I sort of hope that it's a boy groups dance because I am kind of getting bored of constantly doing girl group dances. I want to do something faster, harder and more intense, you know?" I answered her, looking at her again as she also looked at me, nodding her head and agreeing with what I had said to her.

"Yeah, I get it. Let's just stay positive okay? Let's remember that we're going to be doing a survival show soon, make sure your ready and are prepared. I want to debut with you Y/N-shi" She took my hand and stopped me, revealing her feelings to me, I smiled at her and nodded my head before pulling her taller figure in for a long and tight hug.

"I want to debut with you too Unnie, don't ever leave me" I whispered into her ear as she patted my back and the two of us pulled away, smiling.

We continued to walk down the halls of the building and heading off to our usual practice room.

Just as we were about to open the door, it opened and out came our other friend, Sooyoung, and she looked at us surprised.

"Oh! I was just about to come and get the two of you. We have company and the two of you are a little late. Come on! Everyone is wanting to meet our two aces" She grabbed both of our wrists and pulled us into the practice room, immediately I saw the seven boys, our manager, our choreographer and our CEO.

"Oh my- Y/N and Chaeyong! I thought as much. These two have been with us for about two years, they are both very hard working and are always pushing themselves to be the best" Our CEO praised the two of us and I could feel Chaeyong unnie smile, just the same as
before the two of us bowed out of respect, thanking him for the praise.

As I regained my composure and straightened my posture and looked around at everyone in the room, noticing that one of the seven boys kept looking at me, well... more like he kept looking at my butterfly necklace, to which I became aware and my eyes widened.

My eyes traveled down to his wrist and I noticed that he was wearing the oh so familiar silver and gold bracelet, the one that I had sent my soulmate, Kim Sunoo.

I placed my hand over my mouth and everyone started to look at me as I continued to stare at the tall, blonde haired boy.

"Y/N? Sunoo? Are the two of you alright?" My manager asked the two of us, his gaze going from me to him then back to me and then back to him.

"Wait a second! You two are soulmates! Aren't you?!" Chaeyong unnie quickly caught onto what was happening and she asked us very very loudly, everyone looking between both Sunoo and I.

"Let's leave these two along for a bit, let's let them talk" Our CEO motioned for everyone else to leave the practice room, leaving both Sunoo and I alone.

"I-I can't believe it! I have waited so long for this d-day!" Sunoo smiled brightly at me and rushed over to me, quickly engulfing me in a very tight bear hug as I hugged him back closing my eyes and feeling the moment.

"I am so happy to finally find you Kim Sunoo, I've waited for years. I am so happy" I whispered into his ear as I felt him smile into my shoulder before we both pulled away from the hug, he took my hands and looked down at me, his eye smile showing.

"Let's exchange numbers and we can talk everyday, we can meet up and I will route for you when you go onto that survival show! You'll definitely debut, I know you will! Your the best Jung Y/N" Sunoo beamed brightly and happily, showing his bright white teeth as I felt myself tearing up at how kind hearted, friendly and warm he was, even if we had just met each other.

"Thank you Sunoo oppa! You make me so happy and that letter that you sent all those years ago. I read it whenever I feel unmotivated or down and I remember that there is always something worth fighting for! You've always helped me to achieve my dreams, so thank you for that" I thanked him full heartedly and he only shook his head before intertwining his fingers with mine.

"There's no need to thank me, you're my soulmate and I'd do anything for you" He admitted, causing the corner of my lips to turn upward into the largest smile I had ever smiled, I looked to the floor, my cheeks heating up and turning a bright crimson red.

He placed one of his fingers under my chin and lifted my head to look at him, he leaned forward and pecked my forehead as a small giggle escaped my lips.

"You're too cute for your own good Y/N" he chuckled and patted my head, fully intertwining our hands and fingers before he guided me out of the room and down the hall, into a large room, where everyone else was seated, waiting for the two of us.

"Yay! We'll announce that Sunoo has found his soulmate, we will not state your name Y/N since you haven't debut yet and we would not want that to affect anything, okay?" Our CEO explained to the two of us and we both agreed to his words, knowing that our relationship being announced could affect my future as an idol.

"I know Engene will be happy for you Sunoo Hyung! And they will be even more happy when they find out it's you Y/N noona!" His younger member, Ni-ki, clapped his hands slightly as he smiled towards both of us, of course we both smiled back at him and I thanked him for his kindness.

I knew that I could go on with life happily now, knowing that I found my soulmate.
