Athletes rival

Yang Jungwon

Today was finals day, today all of the athletes in school would be competing against other schools for gold, silver and bronze medals.

This year was my first year competing because I had never gotten on the team before because I was too young, I still shouldn't even be on the team because I am still a year too young.

But the school thought I was very talented in every sport I did, so they let me join the team a year early.

I played soccer/football, rugby/football, volleyball, tennis, track, Taekwondo, judo, boxing, swimming and also basketball.

The team captains of every sport said that I would be going last in the competition because I was their hidden ace and they wanted to keep me a secret so it would a big surprise when I competed.

One boy in particular though, I seemed to never ever get along with, he has always sees me as a rival and never a team mate, even when we were practicing.

His name is Yang Jungwon and I honestly have a crush on him but I know it wouldn't work since he hates me so much, but I don't know why.

Today, I woke up with adrenaline in my veins, I was pumped and ready for the day ahead of me, I got out of my bed and did my morning routine before I got changed.

After I got dressed, I headed down into my kitchen and quickly made myself soemthing to eat and writing a little sticky note for my two older brothers Sunghoon and Jay, letting them know that I left early for practice.

"And today I will win in every event and I will help the school to take home gold!" I attempted to phsyc myself up as I walked down the street to get to the school.

After walking for almost ten minutes, I finally reached the old metal gates to the school, walking past them and walking it or he school grounds.

I walked past my locker and into the gym, seeing the athlete team all there, most of the eating their breakfast, having coffee to wake them up or stretching before they started practice.

"Hey Y/N! How are you this morning? You feeling well? Excited for the tournament today? You excited to see you know who compete?" My brother, Jay, nudged my shoulder and I only scoffed before lightly hitting his shoulder.

"You know nothing will ever happen between us because he hates me! But yes, I am excited to see him and I am very excited to win that tournament for the school and the rest of the team! I am very well and ready for today!" I beamed with joy but that smile soon turned into a frown as Jungwon and his two friends, Sunghoon and Ni-ki started approaching us.

"Jay hyung! How are you! Hi Y/N! You excited for today?" Ni-ki greeted us and gave Jay a fist bump as he then hugged me.

"Yeah! I am so excited for today! I can't wait and I am so ready to help the team take home gold!" I jumped up and down, Jay, Sunghoon and Ni-ki smiling at my excitement whilst Jungwon only looked to the side and completely avoided looking at me.
