When you break up

Ni-ki was currently out with the rest of Enhypen, whilst I was with my own members in my own dorm, we were playing games and talking a lot whilst we waited for the boys to call and tell us that they were done with practice.

They had invited us all over for dinner because they wanted to get to know us all better since we were going to be making a sub unit with them.

Our eldest four members with their eldest four and our youngest three with their youngest three.

"Y/N! Are you ready to go?!" My eldest memeber, Rina, yelled for me from down the hall and I answered a quick yes before my phone suddenly started ringing.

I grabbed the phone from my pocket and the caller way my boyfriend, Ni-ki, I picked up and put the phone to my ear.

Y/N:
"Hey baby! What's up? We're just coming over now"

Ni-ki:
"There's something I have to say quickly before I chicken out of saying it"

Y/N:
"Okay baby, tell me, I am all ears!"

Ni-ki:
"I am breaking up with you"

Y/N:
"W-what? Why? Did I do something wrong?"

Ni-ki:
"Look, I just don't think I am ready for a serious relationship. You've been so good to me Y/N but I just feel overwhelmed and stressed sometimes so I think it's best we break up for now. Until I am ready then we can get together again"

Y/N:
"O-okay. I'll w-wait for you. I'll see you s-soon then"

I didn't even wait for his response as I hung up the phone call and immediately fell onto my bed, letting out a shaky sigh before I let the tears start rolling down my cheeks.

"Hey Y/N! Let's go- Oh my- what happened baby?" Rina came into my room and sat down on my bed, I sat up and looked at her, tears streaming down my face and a pout of my lips.

"He broke up with me" I sobbed and she pulled me in for a hug, rubbing her hands up and down my back in a soothing manner as she tried to calm me down as much as possible before we left the house.

"Shush baby, it's okay. He'll realise his mistake soon and he'll ask for you back. If he truly loves you then he'll try and get you back, okay?" She pulled away from the hug and cupped my face in her hands, wiping away my tears with her thumb as she did so.

"Now, let's stop crying and let's go. We need to be at the dorms soon, we can't keep them all waiting forever" She stood up from my bed and took my hand, guiding me out of the room and out of the house, into the cars.

We drove to the boys dorm and thankfully arrived just in time.

All of us left the cars and Rina came to my side, linking her arm with mine as we traveled behind the rest, walking in slower as we came to their dorm room, we knocked.

The door opened and a very happy and smiling Sunoo greeted us, inviting us into the house.

We all entered and took off our shoes before we followed him into the lounge, where Heeseung and Sunghoon were both sitting, waiting for us.

"Oh hello girls!" Heeseung stood up, Sunghoon following as the two of them bowed, we bowed back and they offered us a seat, we all sat down together as they sat down too, I sat in between Heeseung and Rina, the two eldest.

"So! How old is everyone?" Sunghoon asked, trying to make it a little less silent and awkward.

"Well! I am a little older than Heeseung, only by a year I think, May and June are both born in 2001 whilst Jayden is born in 2002. The Maknae Line consists of Bomi, Minhee and Y/N, Bomi in 2003, Minhee in 2004 and Y/N in 2005" Rina explained to them and they both nodded their heads in understanding before Heeseung turned to me.

"So your the same age as Ni-ki?" He asked me and I silently nodded slowly.

"I am six days younger than him" I expanded and he nodded as his mouth made an 'o' shape.

Soon enough, the rest of the boys started coming into the room, one by one and they also came in with food for everyone, my eyes immediately landing on Ni-ki.

His face was swollen and there were tear stains on his cheeks, his eyes were red and puffy, he had been crying just like me.

"He's been crying" I whispered to Rina and she looked over at Ni-ki, she was clearly upset for both of us and she opened her mouth to talk, my eyes went wide.

"Are you alright Ni-ki? You look a little upset? Is there something bothering you?" Rina asked I bit my inner cheek so I wouldn't talk, I kept quite and just waited for him to say something.

"O-oh! Right. I was erm..." he trailed off and just sighed, I looked over at him and the two of us made eye contact, he sighed before he set his chopsticks down and motioned for me to get up and follow him.

"Look. I know were both upset and I am sorry, we can stay friends for now but I want you to focus on your career and ours, after a few months we can get back together, if you still want to, okay? Don't think I did this because I fell out of love because I didn't. I love you dearly but I want us both to focus on this for now, then we can worry about our relationship. Is that okay with you?" He explained to me and I nodded along to what he was saying.

I completely understood everything he said and I honestly agreed, he was being sensible and responsible as well as being respectful about the whole thing, I nodded in agreement.

He pulled me in for a hug, I hugged him back before we pulled away and headed back to everyone else.

The two of us sat back down and we ate our food before the girls and I headed back home at the dorms at around ten at night.
