Author's Note(s):
I have many things that I would like to say, but first, shoutouts!I would like to give a shoutout to HalfBloodPrincess05 , who when I shared this idea with, gave me the courage and confidence I needed to write this story.
I would also like to give another shoutout to Starlight305 , who has been an amazing friend to me, and who also came up with one of the events that take place in this chapter. I will mention it at the end of this chapter, I don't want to spoil it, but I also wanted to make sure she gets credit where she deserves it.
And shoutouts to all of you reading this, for supporting me through this, and for sticking with me, even though I know it probably isn't that good.
I would also like to say, how do I have 93 comments already?! I literally just started this yesterday! I'm so happy that this story is already getting liked this much!
Melissa's POV
Shortly after the kiss, Severus told me he had to go. He said he had a lot to prepare for this year, and that despite what he told Sirius, he really didn't want to be around him anymore.
I was slightly confused when he said he had a lot to still prepare for the school year, I mean doesn't he teach the same class every year, what more could he need to do? However, I said I understood, and that it was okay because I figured he just wanted a reason to get out of there without upsetting me.
I was so excited for this school year to start. Despite the role that I had to play for Dumbledore and The Dark Lord, I'm finally together with Severus! It's going to be amazing, and even though we have to keep it a secret, that makes it even more exciting to me. I know we could get in a lot of trouble for being in a relationship, as he is my professor, but it is definitely worth the risk. He is worth the risk.
As I walked into the Great Hall to start my sixth year, I couldn't help but smile at him. Despite the danger, he quickly gave me a small smile back. Though he looked a bit stressed...
Severus' POV
That kiss was amazing. She's amazing. She was so understanding when I explained myself to her, and she was so kind to comfort me even though I had been ignoring her. I was so lucky to have her as my girlfriend.
Take that, Black!
I had no regrets about that kiss. I loved her, and I hadn't realized how much until I started distancing myself from her over the summer. I know it was risky to be in a relationship with her, because I'm her professor, but she is of age. Besides, I loved her, and I don't think I would be able to take being that far apart from her again.
The day the students came, the night before the new school year started, I was really stressed. I was so tired, but I didn't have time to sleep. Dumbledore didn't tell me I had gotten the job I've always wanted until 2 weeks before. That's already very little time to prepare, and with the frequent death eater and Order meetings as well, I've had next to no time to prepare my lessons for the year.
When I finally had the time to take a nap and try to get some sleep, Dumbledore insisted on calling me to his office again. What did he not understand about this, I can't have meetings with him all the time!
The moment I had walked through the door into his office, he looked at me with a knowing look. Uh oh. That look never means anything good. He knows.
He obviously noticed the worried look in my eyes, because he quickly laughed and said "Don't look so worried Severus, you're not in trouble!" He laughed again.
