Story Note(s):
I realize that I had Sev in the potions classroom at the end of the last chapter, even though he is the DADA professor this year, and thought I would clear it up for you guys. Sev still teaches potions to the first years, who don't take DADA classes yet. Slughorn can't "manage" (though let's face it, we all know he's just lazy) to teach all the students in every year, and since Sev would have had a free period anyway, Dumbly has him still teaching the first years potions. I hope this makes sense, if it still confuses you, please comment or private message me and I will explain it to you more!
Also, this chapter is a continuation of the last one and will continue right where it left off, so I suggest rereading the last two paragraphs from the story in the last chapter. Even if you remember the basics of the cliffhanger, I still suggest reading it really quickly, because it picks up literally right where it left off, and I don't want you to be confused. Of course, you can skip doing that, I'm not stopping you, but I feel like it will be better to read if you do that. It's completely up to you, but that's my suggestion!
Here's chapter 11, enjoy!
Severus' POV
"What makes you think you'll be able to kill me this time?" I asked them, seeing if I can get the other person to talk. I had some ideas as to who it is, but I needed to hear their voice to be sure.
However, Isa's father decided to answer me instead. "Isn't it obvious, Severus? It's two death eaters against one, you'll never beat both of us," he said. Then he started to laugh, the other death eater joining in.
I recognized that laugh. He was one of the people laughing at me during the death eater meeting. I couldn't tell exactly who though. I needed to get him to talk.
"You're forgetting, though, that The Dark Lord trained me personally. Even if you could kill me, what do you think The Dark Lord would say? I'm his most trusted servant-" I said, but got cut off by the unknown death eater shooting a spell at me angrily.
I quickly blocked it and started casting some of my own at them. Andrew joined in, and I was soon dueling the both of them at once. It was difficult to duel like this, but I managed and cast spells to harm, but not kill them, while also casting shield charms.
The speed at which our curses flew gradually increased, and soon I just didn't have the time to cast shield charms anymore, so I had to depend solely on my ability to dodge incoming spells.
I was doing well, dodging every spell that came at me, but I felt that my body was starting to get tired. I couldn't keep this up forever, and I knew that my reaction times were getting slower. I needed to knock them out, desperately, but they kept taking turns shielding each other, making it nearly impossible to hit them.
Suddenly, the still unknown death eater sent a spell at me, and a streak of purple flame came whipping towards me. I just barely dodged it, which was lucky, because as it whizzed past my ear, I could tell by the force of it that it would have killed me on contact.
I had never seen the spell before or read about it, and it distracted me when I saw it. What deadly curse had purple flames? I was so unfocused, I didn't even see the spell that Andrew had cast at me until it was too late.
I felt a deep gash form in my leg, and immediately knew what spell he used. It was one of my own creations, so I wanted to comment on it, but I couldn't form words, the pain was too much.
The wound in my leg was bleeding heavily, but I couldn't do anything to stop it. I was using up all the strength I had to cast shield charms, which were also starting to weaken. I knew I would pass out from blood loss soon, but I would die if I let down my shields to heal myself.
