Melissa's POV

I woke up Monday morning snuggled in Sev's arms. I opened my eyes and watched him peacefully sleeping. I sighed, knowing that this would most likely be the last time he is peaceful for a while.

It had to be done though. I knew the reactions my actions today would cause, but I couldn't care less. I needed to make sure that no student would be laughing at him because of his condition, no matter what they would say about me.

After a few more minutes, I felt Sev starting to wake up. He slowly opened his eyes, and after seeing me awake, kissed my forehead and said, "Good morning, Isa."

"Good morning, Sev," I answered him with a smile. "Are you ready for breakfast?" I asked him.

His face paled slightly, and I immediately reached my hand up to stroke his cheek, and comforted him, "Please don't worry Sev, I told you, I'll create a distraction for them to focus on instead."

"Are you going to tell me what that distraction is?" he asked me.

"Aw Sev, you know I can't do that. It would ruin the surprise!" I said playfully.

He smiled and slowly sat up. I quickly got up and walked over to his side of the bed, and helped him off the bed. I led him over to the bathroom, and once he was inside, I let him lean on the wall and left.

I let him do that now, because it made him feel better about himself if he could use the bathroom on his own, and because I knew that he could use things in the bathroom to balance himself on, so I wasn't too worried about him hurting himself. Besides, if I heard a fall, I could always go in and help him if necessary.

I got dressed while he was changing in the bathroom, and then when I heard the bathroom door open, I came over and helped him walk to the bed. I handed him his clothes to change into and then walked into the bathroom. I quickly brushed my teeth and hair, did my makeup, and then walked out to find Sev dressed in his signature black robes.

I walked over, helped him stand up, and then wrapped an arm around his waist to support him. We slowly walked through the corridors, with him leaning a lot of his weight on me. We luckily passed no one in the corridors, and made it to the side entrance to the Great Hall for teachers, when he suddenly stopped.

I looked up at him and saw the fear in his eyes. "Sev, I promise, you're not going to be laughed at like before. They won't dare to do that, especially in front of all the teachers. If they do, I know that most, if not all, of the teachers would be giving them hell. Along with me," I told him.

He smiled a bit at me, and said, "Thank you, Isa. I needed that."

"Of course, Sev. Are you ready to go in now?" I asked him.

He took a deep breath, nodded, and we walked inside together. I could see some students noticed us, but they didn't laugh or say anything mean, which I could see made him a bit more confident.

I still was going to do my distraction though. I knew they would be talking about Sev on their own, which even though he didn't hear it directly, would still be hurtful, and cause any good feelings he had towards himself to crumble. And I really wanted to avoid that.
